Apparantly a new form of worm has been released.
All Microsoft users (XP etc) should update their antivirus and perform a windows update ASAP.
According to professional sources the worm is spreading extremely quickly.

I cannot understand why people don't have their computers set up so that they automatically search for Microsoft updates and updates for their Anti-Virus programmes as soon as they log on each day. Even logging onto Microsoft or your Anti-virus suppliers web site doesn't take long.
Aaaahhhhh Harry my love....... I personally never ever go to the Microsoft Update site as the last time I did that it completely f***ked up my computer and required a format.....
I do however update my anti virus software as soon as I log on.....![]()
As yet we have not seen any sign of the new virus, but you know what that means dont you..... Now I have said that I will rear it's awful little head and slap me in the face...![]()

Microsoft have released a checker for the Sasser worm. It checks your PC and tells you whether you have it or not.

I have managed to do a system restore which seemed to work for about 10 minutes.... Now the bluddy thing is crashing again
I am now getting the blue screen crash and cant even get to start in safe mode.... It gets as far as Welcome and then dies

Ahh, didn't see that it won't even get into Windows now.
That's a little odd for a virus!
