New Year plans

We generally see in the New Year with the kids at home. They're now at the age where they want to stay up, have a (very) small drink and we do a buffet for the family and play silly games. They enjoy it.
Last year, we had been invited to a swingers party close to where we live, so we seen in the New Year at home, left the kids at home with grandparents and off we went for a little adult action.
This year, we're all off out to a friends party (a vanilla one), the kids are coming with us and are really looking forward to it.
I think that as a couple we have grown out of the 'pay a fortune to get into your local pub and get bladdered' type of New Years festivities and really do enjoy spending that time with the kids.
What about you? Are you staying in? Going out? or shaking it about? lol

Our's is a family New Year this time, and we are looking forward to it.
The past 5 years we have seen them in with swinging friends.

Lucky you Elaine .....we are staying in this year , with a takeaway , DVD & Kinect sports(always played darts better after a beer)
We are not being boring ....we are just ill ! Bloody cough !
We would of probably gone to a club , for a change smile

We have in the past years been to the Pub (free to get in) , a House party with all the Mids room crowd , and a Vanilla Best mates as they couldn`t get a sitter!

We are staying in and spending time together, have a drink, watch Kasabian in their new year gig, sing along, maybe dance and see the new year in with a bang lol
The kids are adults and will be out with partners/friends but hopefully will hear from them during the evening smile

In the past we have seen the new year in at Chams but we dont want to be far from the kids incase we have to go out on a rescue mission as we did not so long ago !!
It will be a lovely evening, im looking forward to it, spending time with my lovely man and hopefully we will both be awake at midnight ... we are both ill and are struggling to stay awake much after 9pm !!

As usual my plans are still not fully sorted rolleyes

Im going to go on the football with my dad in the afternoon, meet up with some friends for a few drinks and some food early evening. Then assess my mood / energy levels
High >> bar / pub :bounce:
Medium >> friends party :haha:
Low >> Round to my dads and have a quiet one with him and my brother :sleeping:
Was looking at joining a couple I know at Cupids but @ £125 for a single male its a bit steep!!
(unless your plans change and you wind up in there elaine :rascal smile

I was uncharacteristically quiet that evening, in my defence it was my first munch and I was taking in the sights :shock:
Next time I will be one of the first in the queue when you bend over a table and the paddle gets passed around :lol2:

This new year our children are with their grandparents in Cornwall, Mrs T is working nights in Exeter and Trev is also working nights, but unable to come home during the day.
At least we all get to see each other on the 2nd.

Will be spending the night in either just the two of us or with an old friend and his new partner. See how it pans out. If it is just Mrs Tweeky and me then she may go to bed pre 12 and I may venture out in the car to the centre and suck in the atmosphere at 12. Anything could happen still dont know as normal lol

One things for certain though from age 18 up have never been a fan of going out at new years and only ever went out once which only reinforced what I already thought. Crowded bars, over priced fees, over priced drinks and too many pissed twats. No thanks I'll stick to normal weekends.

We were there a couple of weeks ago (first time in over a year and yup, still pretty shit). Your picture is still up on the wall. I would demand commission!!! lol

I was always 'too old' for the drink/club/drink/fall over/wake up having no recollection of getting home. I could never see the point. Being drunk, proper drunk, is deeply unpleasant to experience and worse to witness.
This year is our usual. The immediate family, lots of snacks - no complicated cooking, film or something early on, Jools Holland and his Hootenany for midnight. Nice and simple. I don't party - I'm rubbish at it.
