new years resolution lasted 3 days... :-(

umm what was the resolution?
im now on my 6 th day, but it was made before new year , just vowed again newyears eve to see it through
mine was quitting smoking

What fails every time is the 'all or nothing' approach.
For instance, if you vow to never ever smoke again, it only takes one tiny cigarette to convince yourself that you've failed, and before you know it you're back on the fags, probably heavier than before!
This has certainly been true in my case. This time, I'm taking it one day at a time (the cliche's are all true!) and won't beat myself up about the occasional slip-up. The most important thing is to break old habits and breed new ones. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen overnight!

Don't make any at all or make sure they're ones you won't have any difficulty in keeping like - I will continue to drink; I will still overspend at the sales buying things that I don't really need but must have because they're such a bargain; I will post more on the SH forums .... etc etc
