"Dear Lord Lacon,
I wrote to you recently about upgrading our broadband lines to 2Mb.
I am very sorry to tell you that your line cannot support a 2Mb broadband service and so we're unable to provide this faster speed to you."
Umm HELLO?! BT collects over £8000 PER MINUTE and I don't live in the middle of some god forsaken valley in the middle of nowhere that cannot pick up bbc1, so why the hell can they provide me with 2 MBs in Hertfordshire?!
Bollocks to the "..newly upgraded digital exchange and aluminium internal switch BT boxes" lol
grrrrr
They upgraded me. Now all they need to do is work out why my connection goes down for 8-15 hours a day, unless I do a line test which kicks the connection back in, which in order to do I have to report the line fixed, which ends up cancelling engineers who can't work out what the problem is anyway, and BT can't seem to work beyond their automated service and bypass the fact I have to report the line fixed so I can use the service I'm paying for and make a note to ignore the fact I'm cancelling via the automated service and send the damn engineers (who don't know how to fix the problem) out anyway, and now they have started grasping at straws asking if we have overhead electricty lines, and I now have the choice between sitting on my hands, and not doing the line test, go without a connection so I can have an engineer who is going to replace the line in my house, even though the line has been tested beyond my house with the same results and
OH MY FUCKING GOD WHY ARE BT SO RETARDED?!!!
*breaths*

After having dial up for two years ....its just nice to have 512k broadband !
The thing is guys...it dont matter what speed your isp is offering in broadband....The actual speed will depend on the number of users sharing the bandwidth. As they offer higher speeds so they increase the number of users sharing...
