I used to be mad on it when channel 4 started showing it years ago
A group of 6 mates used to take it in turns to have every body around for the night to watch the super bowl
eat far to much food and drink even more beer (Budwiser or corse)
We used to go to the American Bowl match at Wembly every year it was fantastic
When Sky bought the rights to show it in the UK i stopped watching it and i have struggled to get back into it now it back on
love the game very complex but agressive
Raiders Raiders oh what mad fans

Did you see that NASN (North American Sports Network) had a weekend freeview on Sky. A whole weekend of NFL, College Bowl, The Grey Cup and College Basketball .
Fanatastic - Mrs B and I didn't get out much last weekend!
I've got NASN it's great 10 pound a month, but i'm into Nfl, college football and NASCAR if only they covered cricket and speedway as well, then i'd dump skysports.

Any Super Bowl predictions , as my team the 49ers have more chance of winning Eurovision I'm going to have to go for my AFC team - the Pats

lou... you are lucky hunny....the final four for March madness (basketball) is the first weekend in April... and i am not really a baseball fan till i get to labor day.....smile (that is when college football starts again!!!!) so you will have my undivided attention...... unless by some miracle michigan state make the ice hockey play offs and get to the Frozen Four.... if which case you might just need to distract me.....:) but then i think that is more chance of hell freezing over.....lol
can you tell i am a american sports fan.....

ya dont know what you are missing im watching mic jagger a great show so far smile :)
Im fairly new to watching NFL (my flatmate got me into it.....) I decided to pick a team at random when I was playing Madden 2004, and it was Baltimore Ravens which Ive stuck with since.....
watched superbowl last night, can't believe some of the reffing decisions, if i was seahawks fan i would be writing to george bush. and they think our refs are bad? all that technology too...yankee footys ok...better than rugby anyway rolleyes
Ooh, my head still hurts, Sunday was not good OK Seattle messed up a lot of chances but the officiating was diabolical with some outrageous calls going against the Seahawks and most of the American media agrees, I knew Seattle were in trouble when 80 percent of the stadium went to Pittsburgh fans, but what the hey we’ll just have to win it next year.
REFS 21 SEAHAWKS 10
I'm off to eat some more sour grapes lol

I am really going to annoy some people with this but....
I prefer a real mans game Rugby. None of this lets get padded so we look bigger that the others, Oooo they might hurt me if I dont have all my padding on, and lets stop every 10 seconds to have a break. ....
And what is the idea of putting makeup on in stripes under your helmet?????

i knew someone would say this eventually... let me say before anything that i play rugby at county level when i was younger, and american football for great britain when i was at university....
lets dispell the pads myth..... the pads basically protect your hips and the base of your spine
your shoulder pads protect the upper half of your torso...
which means everthing else is exposed and you are use the helmet as a weapon... like to see you be on the other end... because it bloody hurts, trust me...
also i think your'll find that most rugby players at a high level wear body and shoulder protectors now anyway.......
i watch NFL... l like it (Falcons fan, so can't call me a glory hunter!.... only had 2 good seasons in 30!!!)
I prefer college football though..... lot more passion and excitment than at the professional level....
Went I played some years ago it was just not done to wear protection as a collision with another player could injure him more. (but the studs used to make em squeal lol ) I just dont get the game it takes ages to play it stops all the time theres no rythmn to it. At least with a bit of union the only time you get a rest is in the scrum.
There is more time wasted in Rugby Union, (thats getting the ball over the oppo`s tryline and grounding it correctly)
being scored, since union teams have started to employ rugby league defence coaches tries have just about become extinct in union.
