I'm a single guy and I've had a reasonable amount of success recently, but you have to work at it. Establishing friendships can take time, but it is worth it in the end. You have much more fun 'playing' with friends 
than just having sex with complete strangers where it can be a bit cold and mechanical.
Try the club scene, there are a few clubs that welcome a limited amount of single guys in. Getting chatting to the couples, become a friendly face rather than a shadow in the background, you'll be surprised at what can happen. You're in Bristol so try The Office on Fridays perhaps ?

You won't find "success" (whatever that is !) immediately, if an instant shag is what you're after you're better off going out on the town on a fri / sat nite and chasing all the young girls out on the piss.
On the other hand, spend some time here, and in the chatroom, get to know people, go to a munch or two and you'll find this site starts to work for you.....

when i first started chatting i did find it really hard to get anywjere, but keep perserviring, and have found that if you get involve with the social side your nave will carry its weight!

I don't wish to brag, but I'm a single guy in rather high demand as a result of being a member of this site. I don't have an ad and I don't have a pic, I don't use the meet up forum, I hardly ever go in the chat room, my email and phone number aren't published - All I do is join in the banter in the cafe and chat to people in PM. As a result of just that I have many friends that I wouldn't have without SH.
That is a testament, not to me, but to this site and this community, and to be honest, writing your chances off after 14 posts, you haven't given either yourself or the community a chance. Stick around, join in, get to know people, and get your arse to a Munch. And don't be in such a hurry, it isn't a race.
