the problem with the profile is that it only gives you a partial glimpse of the person you are looking at... it doesn't give you the full information....so you meet that person and don't click... what/who do you blame then????
I went on line without a profile for best part of 9 months...... because i felt happy doing that and people were still happy meeting me.. because they had gotten to know me in the forums and in the chatrooms and at social events (munches) and at parties......so rather than judging me on a few words that were judging me on me
if any information is given on a need to know basis... does the whole world really need to know???? just a thought.......

There are many reasons for this. Here are a few I can think of.
People who don't meet people from the site and just Swing in clubs
Those interested in swinging and just dipping their toe in
Those people sick of cock shots, I line pms & winks
Those protective of their identify and personal information
One of the things I love about swinging is the respect of people's boundaries.
For me this is not just sexual boundaries but also respecting the information people wish to share.
As with the act of swinging itself nobody should be forced or expected to provide information just because other wish them to.

Both my wife and I enjoy reading the forums (most of the time when they are not moans) and reading the stories. Although we don't always contribute to discussions we do from time to time. If thats a problem maybe we should leave although we do appreciate being able to dip our toes in the water.

Why should you consider leaving just because you haven't got an ad, or am I reading that wrong? Swinging is about doing what you want to do without harming others. Not having an ad can hardly be affecting anyone else and you certainly shouldn't consider leaving. It seems a shame that the true spirit of swinging seems to have vanished from the chat rooms and now seems to be eroding in the forums.

Don't have any pics cos i really don't like having pics done (but have got a few i'll send to trusted people) Don't have an Ad as the one i had up for 6 months with lots of details about what i liked and looked for gave me the total of 0 replies (hazzard of being a single bloke), so i didn't bother to transfer it with the great site update. few details in my profile but as a bit of a gobshite on here most people will know loads about me and will probably ask if they want to know more (even say you can ask in the profile box thingy)

I've read the view that I shouldn't use the forums, I've read the view that says where's the point, I kinda feel that I've made an equal contribution alongside all the other posters over the years, despite not having these things in place and that as far as the cafe is concerned, if you really dont understand why I bother, you've kinda missed the point of the place.

The original starter has a joined date of 7/3/06 and a total of 21 posts. Look at the joined dates and total posts of the people, including yourself, who say profiles shouldn't matter and then decide. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but it pays to think about who's opinion is worth heeding.

the thing that a lot seem to be missing is this point. any body can join,then fill in their profile, as any one they 's to say they are not full of you meet these people they can be because their prifile is filled in does not mean its honest(we realy are 2006 btw :wink: )
it would be very easy to put in photo's of a very attractive couple, just to get to know more info on another member and would think this has been done more than once.

I guess everyone's here for their own reasons. Some people swing regularly, some just do dogging, some clubs only while others just want to meet and chat to like minded people without jumping into bed with them. I think a little something written in the profile would be nice but loads of people on here have no ads or photos and that's their choice.
