can the boffins not do that word replacement thing they use for names, so instead of 'timewasters' we see the word 'pilchards' for example, would be much more entertaining

can i point out something to you that you may not realise.....
not all members of the site use all parts of the site.... for example until today YOU had never used the forum.... so you may have been here for 6 weeks but to us you are new....and the 1st post looked the every other whinge we get in forum... normally about the ads???
if you think about it... would you go into sainsbury's and complain about asda.....no... that is effect what you have done.....
for example... some people only use the forums to get meets.... some only use the chatrooms.....i use the forum and the chatroom but rarely use the ads......
so effectively your rant is aimed at the wrong people........

p.s one of the things that people do notice in the forums that may not come across in the ads is a sense of humour... so take everything with a pinch of salt, rather than to heart....

'Scuse me butting in on WJ's thread while he's in the shower with my friend, but WJ is not having a 'rant' at anyone, he is just expressing what we four feel about those NGA's, and as we spend relaxed time together on a regular basis we have time to do more than just .....ahem!.........hence the time to post on SH while we are having fun!
We all use the SH site for viewing, relplying and advertising, and though we may not post on the Forum we do keep an eye on whats happening.
Although I thought it inadvisable for WJ to post at all I agree that his comments (rants?) and requests for advice were designed to encourage chat, and talking does make a difference, sometimes that's what gets things done, so lay off a bit; we're all in this together you know! You included! Can you honestly say that you have not been tempted to post on the same topic? Or not wished that there was really a way to keep out the NGA's?
We only want to make it clear that we are not getting at anyone on the SH Forum or the genuine SH advertisers, we just feel that like WJ we have been thoroughly peeeeed off with those who spend their time faffing around with promises of meets and 'phone calls, and pretend to be whothey are not, and we've all suffered at the hands of that kind.
We did not meet through SH, but hoped that we could expand our circle of friends locally and outwith the area, via this excellent site. We've had dissapointments and not one success, and we have advertised via our profiles, and all of us can be considered 'desirable'. (Or at least passable, in the dark, if you're really desperate. And blind, without sense of smell, taste and have spent some time in the Himalayas without company of any kind. Except a yak)
Perhaps we are expecting too much from our locale and need to broaden our horizons, or just keep to what, and who, we know.
That's the shower off now, and WJ'll have a fit when he sees what I've written, but a glass of wine and cuddle between my thighs should keep him quiet for a while, If he has any energy left after that tart has helped him wash his back! Hmmmm?

We all know the post wasn't directed at anyone in the forums but at those people who just waste other people's time. We've all had them and will continue to get them unfortunately.
When a new topic is posted it goes one of 3 ways ( or all three together
)1 Everyone gives their own opinion on the topic, whether it's any help or not is a matter of conjecture
2 It all gets very silly ( we all do that too )

We are here together in the house today as friends and responsible adults and did not think that we were in contravention of the rules as we have only this one PC to use at present to view and to post. We share everything on a Saturday!!
