ever since the water companies banned the use of hosepipes in so many areas, it has virtually done nothing but rain culminating in huge flooding, especially in the south east where the rain was most needed.
as a suggestion, the next time the water companies start on about water levels getting low, there best bet is just to introduce a hose pipe ban for a month. it is like a magic wand being raised to the clouds.
oh and btw,,,,the chief executive of thames water a Martin Baggs, was awarded a bonus of 420 thousand pounds as a bonus yesterday, even though thames water had let its customers down so badly. but maybe it was he himself who waved that magic wand that brought all the rain, and that is why he got the bonus?
you really could not make it up.
