Nooooooo.............. he's not dead ( yet ...sniff sniff ). They are putting him on an I.V. drip and doing god knows what tests ( to get the bill as high as possible ) and will be giving me the results and decision making choice tomorrow. Sniff ... sniff.

I felt a little silly at the vets cos when I had to hand him over I couldnt let go. Poor damn cat must have felt like a rubber band !!! Then I am crying like my kid just died or something ... but I hate that he is so sick ... as an animal lover you always feel like maybe there was/is something you can do to help but in reality you can't and dammit I want him here jumping in my lap, climbing on the keyboard and knocking my tea over !!!!

I rescued a stray cat a few years ago, took him to the vet who diagnosed him with FIV (cat AIDS).
They said he can still live a healthy life, but 2 weeks later he went down with kidney failure and had to be put to sleep. I was devestated but I knew I was doing the right thing. Its very difficult, but at least your cat wont be in pain.

I won't laugh as I can see your point, PK has a rabbit well she has 2 really but one is of the fluffy four legged variety and of late he has become my mate. When I first started coming up here he used to go all jealous and bounch round his cage in a protective manor. But sincce I've been living and working up here and as I'm on nights he is the first living thing I see when I get up in the afternoons as PK is at work. I chat with him, feed him even let him out for a run round and a chew of anything he can get his teeth on
Hell I even found my self in Tescos the other day looking for rabbity treats for him Now when he see's me he bounces round in happiness I came back tonight after a long shift (Glasgow and back) and even PK pointed out that he was begging for my attention

Sadly I didn't have time to stop as I was on a sort of interview. I came home tonight with an application form for a 4 day a week job that pays a stupid amount of money and leaves 3 days a week free to run my buisness. Am I chuffed? Too fucking right I am :smug:

Today at I held Sam as he was gently and respectfully put to sleep. :cry:
Don't really know what to say right now. Sam had kinda become like my second child since my son had decided to live with his dad in the States for a while when I moved here. There was no-one waiting to greet me when I came in tonight. I have to go downstairs and put his bowls away. Think I'll go take a nice bath first.
