North south divide?

Hi everyone. I notice when surfing the forums what appears to me to be a clear north south divide when it comes to swingers, especialy the more experienced ones. As it is hard to judge this whilst surfing I thought I would put up this poll for a bit of a count up. I have also included all other areas in the poll
Any comments on the subject are of course also welcome, i.e. why this might be the case? biggrin

we seem to be winning at the moment biggrin

just dont understand why we dont have so many clubs etc down here confused

there is plenty of us here!

Anyway, cough, going back on topic I think its a shock lead by the south. Where are all the NW people we see? stop hiding under that rock.
I agree also we need more clubs down this way. Only one in the city I live and its reviews are mixed.

The reason there are a lot fewer swinging clubs down south is that southerners are more prim and priggish, and often tend to oppose plans for anything connected with sex. Someone in here from Sussex once told the story of an empty shop in their town's High Street where someone put up a notice for a joke to say that a branch of Ann Summers would shortly be opening there. A lot of the locals went ballistic before they found out it was a joke.!
Northerners are much more down to earth in general, and in the main more accepting of such things. So that is why many of you southerners still have to travel northwards to the Midlands or North to swing!

Having never lived in the north I cant realy comment but as a side thought perhaps we should all up roots and move to Amsterdam? :mrgreen:

Southern groups are organised in discrete social circles as opposed to a clubhouse where there is a take on the door. Although new establishments are appearing every month, due to the success in the north of the country. They operate as any private social group and entry is more by word of mouth and introductions etc. many are older and more established than you think.
So they operate as private clubs, with memberships etc. Some promote themselves through journals, as well as the internet. So discretion is the main thing, currently, with clubbers not wishing to be seen going into a place with a 'reputation' for being obvious and brash about it.
