Wagonwheel, Creme egg, Curly Wurly, Turkish Delight .... no where near as big as they were when we were kids!!
And then today I decided to nick one of the penguins from the stash of kids packed lunch stuff redface .... tiny!!
Is the world shrinking? dunno
I'm certain some of them have shrunk - cos the alternative is I am getting bigger. biggrin:D:D:D:D:D
But I love this.
I disregarded the alternative ... I didn't like the thought of it!!
Love that pic!! lol
Twirl!!!
I was gutted the other day when I got one from the vending machine at work to find it had shrunk!!! 38p for one out of a multi pack... shame on you Cadburys for making different sized ones!!
We are not imagining the fact that chocolate bars, Mars, Topic etc have got smaller. Apparently the official line on this is that the manufactuers are acting 'responsably' in reducing the size to help combat the rising flood of obesity. Being the cynical sort as I expect most of our SH friends and the general public are my thought is "what a load of Bollocks!" It is a money grabbing way of giving less and charging more. Nice work if you can get it.
Smooth2
For the same reason (to combat obesity) I heard that they were not allowed to do the king size mars bars, snickers, etc anymore and instead now make twin bars instead as you are less likely to eat it all at once!!
Yeah like thats gonna happen!!
Believe it or not ... I rarely buy chocolate redface

Me neither, Fun, says Sappho finishing the last of her Cadbury's Caramel, but Will buys it for me instead! lol
Just go to Lidl and buy 3 bars of chocolate for the price of one mars bar :haha: Most of it tastes pretty good too, even the 27p bar is not that bad smile
Who remembers King size mars bars? then they were called The big one. The big one was smaller than the King size. I read years ago that they had to change the name when they shrank it otherwise its deceitful

Urgh, tell me about it evil
I remember Double Deckers used to be the size of ........ well ok not literally a double decker bus, but at the very least, the size of a small people carrier
Now you can hold em in one hand  more to the point, you take one mouthful and you hit your fingers!!!!!!!!!
Gutted I was, should rename them "smart car for polly pockets"!!!!
Fondant Fancies have shrunk too.
Saw one today - not even a mouthful. You used to be able to peel the pink, yellow or brown icing off with your fingers, eat that and then lick off the delicious lump of cream and then bite the cakey bit in two.
Now? Open mouth, shove in and swallow. Waste of wrapping.
