Well it took me months and months and months to get back onto this site due to my new technologies letting me down rolleyes

:roll: I come back and ............... well.......... but I am not giving up!!!!!!
Hello to all the new people who have joined this site and to the new owners and HELLO to all oldies out there because you are there somewhere I know that smile

just seen Tune Essence hanging around (XX).
I come on here to talk bollox, have a laugh and read some brilliant posts which I know in time will return to this site. The site is at its best when its a mixture of sex, meeting, humour, serious comment and plain bollox..........................now these days I am just bollox because I am back with my ex from Scotland :shock: :shock: lol

:lol: :lol: now this beautiful man was the reason I came on here in the first place (in pain) and 2 years on we are talking, loving and realising that in this big old world if you find someone you really love its a gift thats worth nurturing. I am not running up to Scotland mind, though one day .............................. but he now knows I am on this site and that is great.
Now I just want to be here for the reasons I stayed here nearly 2 years ago - to meet really interesting people who want to get to know me as a person first and foremost. No problem at all with people who are mid night runners but I dont think anyone really gets long term much out of that do they???????? Maybe I am wrong but the beauty of this site will be a mixed community and I hope that all you new people will also want to be 'stars' in your own right for getting to know people, going to munches and taking time to get to know people.
So I wish all of you a great christmas whether you score on here or not :lol: :lol: . I remember last New Years day spending it with 2 great people from here who kept me sane lol

Glad everything is working out for you - bout bloody time. And, seeing as I seem to follow in your footsteps (at about a six month delay lol

) i'm hoping that next year will be my year too!!!

Yip, a few of us are still here (or lurking as it has been called) things are getting a better day by day and the 'older' type posts are starting to re-appear again, ok, not in the same numbers, but they are slowly starting to trickle through, and there are some really nice and very funny newer members to chat with as well wink

Aaaaaah I have such a nice warm feeling and thats not me goiing to the loo or the wine I am drinking (just worked out how to open with major force one of the 2 crates of wine my son brought me for my birthday hahahahaha). Its you lot out there xxxxxxxxxxx
It is good and I am ever the optomist in life - have to be but also I know that if you dont talk honestly it ends in tears.
its been a funny year but one where I have finally got to know my self. I have been really 'needy' without really knowing what I needed. So I went to counselling (well still have a personal counsellor) and I cant believe how it has helped me.
The best thing she said to me was "you have just walked into the room and sat down - what are you going to do for you? what are you goiing to say to you?" I just froze and said "god shes (meaning me) horrible shes sitting there all aggressive, full on and wanting to give out messages of dont get close to me or else" I hated it but realised I needed to be able to look objectively at myself in order that I could see what other people saw - either a confident, talkative woman or a needy, depressed cling on.
I seem to have done nothing but talk lately but not about needing but about what I want to do for myself. I realised that if I dont respect and love myself then noone else will. She asked me what I actually did for myself that brought me personal pleasure - eg a hobby, treats etc and my mind went blank ( well I did think about my pulsatron but that would have been too much information :shock: ) and I couldnt think.
so now she has giving me a to do list of things I have to record and I know I feel so much more in control - not always feeling brilliant but understanding in a world where I had made everything and everyone a project I dont always have to have the answers I can just listen and sympathise rather than taking on someones elses problem as my project.
Now sorry if this is boring you but actually what I suppose I am saying is that getting to know yourself removes you from the wood you create around yourself where there seems to be no answers.
I have some great friends here who I thank for being there for me which is why I loved swinging heaven and the people who have responded here make up some of them so thank you all smile

:lol: well it may be a while before we see him on here but will get him to stage of being comfortable with me again first then we will see. Oh its so good to be with someone who you really know again and knows you. It means I can burp and flatulate redface

ops: well havent yet hahahahahaha. He did actually join the site at one time without telling me so somewhere he has a login name - must look him up lol. As for London well long way for him to come - I may not see him for a while boohoo not over christmas anyway but we both know from the point of view of the kids that is the best and this time they really do come first. But when we meet wooh hoo it wont be sparks flying but just 2 comfortable old slippers meeting up lol .

Corrie - I recall a time when you really helped me with your advice - don't think I was a 'project', but I recognised you as a good listener. So pleased to see you back and though the site has changed somewhat, at least the same old faces appear in the cafe and don't get bother from the less serious - well, not in the forum anyway. biggrin
