Not so urgent now! Someone has my mobile number!

Ok... trying not to panic, but somone has just started sending me texts saying 'what your age' and 'I want you'... he calls himself Tristin and he says that his mate got a
'shmler num to u' which I have no idea what that means.
I have never given out any number to anyone online, let alone from here, and Im not sure its even from this site, but considering that he seems keen to do someothing 'untoward' shall we say...
I dont know - I am babbling, but if anyone can help me... please Im not sure what the hell is going on...

Update: it seems that someone is just randomly picked my number out of the eather and is hassling me.. thanks to all the advice from peeps! But maybe this thread should be locked so it doesnt keep getting bumped to the top of the page agian? Im not sure....

Contact your mobile provider tell them what is happening and ask them to block that sender
Not exactly relevant but has all of the contact numbers at the bottom.

Likely he/she has picked your/a number at random or by miss dialling

Have you replied to it at all? If he says that his mate got a
`'shmler num to u', and that was the last response to a text you sent in reply, then I`d say he was explianing her had the wrong number because his mate has a similarnumber to you. `H` is next to the `i`.

right... thankyou... but why the hell say that he wants me?
He did ring me and say hello and then hang up.. and acted as if I should know him....
That is a relief of some kind then.. as I was really worried that it was someone who knew me in some way....

I did reply... saying I didnt knnow him and he said 'I want you' which is rather freeky... maybe the sarcasm might work though... thanks venus....

I doubted it was from this site, but its the only place I have been active recently and considering the content... it seemed remotely possible... thanks anyways.. as I am now trying to block this dude... whoever the hell he is...

Another Reading resident here!
A lady at work had a similar problem and I believe she also got round it by blocking the number.
Good to know you feel a little more comfortable about the situation, having found a solution.
