I could be classed as being obsessive about cleanliness.. I tend to go a bit OTT but not really OCD. I cannot abide dirt and have been known to 'know' if anything has been moved! lol
Its not OCD but i do seem to have a habit of getting involved in things before i think about the possibley dangerous consequences.....

Not a habit as such...but relating to a time when I wasn't too well confused I have in my kitchen cupboard the last in a collection of drinking glasses. Nothing odd there you're thinking? Well-it is wrapped in newspaper, wrapped in a tea towel, placed inside a plastic jug at the back of the cupboard and no-one is allowed to touch it  It's been there for about 7 years now and I don't even move it to clean around redface

Not OCD but i have been through a weird phase in which for no apparent reason to myself or anyone else. I had about two years of being unable to physically answer the phone i could make calls but not answer them.
Today still i have a cold shiver run down my spine when i hear mobile phones go off. I dont allow them in my house apart from Mrs Lost's who has it where i cant here or see it.
Even the sounds from a games console or the T.V if they are like mobile tones can have me sweating. I can use them and nowadays with gritted teEth tolerate them but i really dont like them.
Also hate stuff of all dicriptions on my hands such as oil or dirt, chalk, pastry I have to wash them A.S.A.P or if i can avoid getting anything on them even better
I have been told by a CB therapist that I have OCD tendencies towards work but none whatsoever in my personal life.
He found that quite bizarre as none of my work stressors? *spelling* follow through to my perssonal life. rolleyes Go figure
I'm not even remotely anal about anything honest lol

Volume on the TV or radio must be on an even number.
If I sign for a parcel, I have to wash my hands straight afterwards as all I can think of is how many people have touched the pen before me.
I hate shaking hands with someone, although I do this loads with my job, as all I can think of is did they wash properly after 'flushing' or were they picking their nose before they met me. (Started carrying antibacterial hand gel in car)
Always flush a toilet with my foot (unless it's a button on top)
I have OCD, which I suppose never really goes away. However, there was a time when it controlled my life- but I "beat" it, and now it's manifestations are pretty minor.
Unless you count having to log into SH every time I walk past the PC rolleyes
I get good-natured stick at work, because I find it hard to eat anything I havent actually prepared myself since I got ill last year from an unknown source.
Actually, if you watch people in cafes dishing out the food, the amount of - nose wiping, spot scratching, nose blowing, coughing, head scratching, finger licking etc is unbelievable. mad
I wont even eat anything family have prepared. And a home made buffet  I have to eat beforehand and say I'm full!
That's quite a phobia about getting food poisenning Cherry, but I don't think its OCD.
Yes I agree, Liasons, it's a phobia. I thought it might be appropriate tho.

i have to do everthing in multiples of four, if i tap my foot for example it has to be in fours, and then i have to tap the other foot the same number of times so its equal
i have to pack the supermarket counter in the way its going to go into the shoppings bags, which happens to be the way my cupboards are arranged, ie fridge stuff in one back, carousel stuff in another, makes unpacking shopping much easier
i have to have all my tins in rows of the same product and all labels facing forward
all my shoes (95 pairs) are in boxes with their pic on the front in their own cupboard
my dvd's and cd's are categorised
i hate single things i have to have pairs of things for balance
i have to get out of the same side of the bed every day
thats all i can think of for now but am sure there's loads more

I was "diagnosed" with OCD a few years back, as part of depression. One of the biggest indicators for me is that I get obsessive about the house and how clean it is. To the point where I can't settle if something is untidy.
I'd wipe things down 10 times, stress about where things lived ie ornaments etc.
The depression has passed and the house permanently looks like a bombsite now redface but I still obsess when it gets too bad.

When I was younger and much sportier I had to win anything I played.
I might not have been that good at the sport but I would always try way to hard, get pissed off if I lost and always want a re-match.
I didn't really do team sports except football & cricket because I wanted any success or failure to be purely down to me.
I was the same in any sport, be it badminton, squash, tennis, snooker/pool, motorcycle racing, fencing, athletics.
But now I'm an older git I really don't give a shit!!!
Oh, and all my music CD's have to be in alphabetical order.
But that's just sensible 'cos it would take so bloody long to find a particular one otherwise!!!
