I'm looking for a money programme I could use to keep up with my monthly budget before I go bust.
I use to use msworks but that was on the laptop and teenage-tear-away is in the process of "repairing" it but seems to have a few extra spare parts now confused
Does anyone know of a good one I can download?
*fingers crossed this doesn't get locked.
treat yourself to a copy of computer shopper
usually few options and CHEAP

There's SAGE, or Excel. As for one you can download....... I'm stumped. Try taking your laptop to a repair service if it seems to have a few spare parts.
To be honest, laptops are a bitch to repair and if you don't know how then you can kiss it wave

If I knew how to use either of those it would help sad
I'm looking for something simple to use, just add in the figures and it does the rest for you, kinda thing, like msworks.
As for the laptop, it's dead dead dead.
Which is why mamma now has her very own computer and Tear-Away is limited to college work only on it :P

Excel is very simple to use, and comes with pre-loaded templates for calculating a household budge. They have set up all the feilds and the equasions, you just have to type in the numbers and click save. It comes with the Microsoft Office Suite. it's also fairly well-known, so if you run ever into trouble I'm sure there are many people who can help you out with ease.

Not sure about this one but it might be worth trying...

There are a few to choose from on this link page...

Hope this helps, don't forget to virus check the stuff before you install it if your pc doesn't do it automatically.

what do you need it to do?
I would recomend excel if its just for budgeting, and if you are nice to me i might even format a spreadsheet for you with all the usual household expenditure items.

Hi,
I noticed this thread re buget planner.
There are quite a few different packages.
Some are custom packages such as MS Money and the derivatives.
Excel, Access and Word all have templates for this.
The problem is you can not legally download the software.
Since you already have a licence for the software you would need to know some one who could either post you a copy of the CD or if they did have a fireway they could just share their CD rom drive.
No since you already have a licence this is perfectly legal.
Alternativley there is a free solution with OpenOffice which has every thing WP, Spread sheet etc.
And did I mention it's free and very good. It's been around a while so it's more stable and runs on Windows XP

Well I hope that fixes your budget?
