Well, I have to say I'm one of those guilty of posting a message to say I reached the 4000 mark. Also not ashamed of doing it whatsoever - it's harmless after all. It's also within AUP I think and if it's not interesting (which it isn't really) it slips off the page quick enough because people who don't want to read/respond, don't.

I did say that it was not against the AUP. I also asked for an explanation in the reasoning behind making such a post, but as yet have still to hear one apart from your's; that it is not interesting really.
I am not in any way trying to shame people, I am merely stating my opinion and saying how this behaviour makes me feel.
