How many stockings have I laddered today??! Five! Flippin' five!!
First one, my nail went through it at this morning, another snagged on the garden fence when I went out to fill the bird table :roll:
A couple more got caught on a low shelf at work and now I've just changed them again, went to sit down here with a quick cup of tea before I go back to work and one of my cats jumped up on my lap and stuck her claws in, taking half my left thigh with her AND RUINING MY LAST STOCKING!!!

Ahhh the ever mysterious Bic.....I can almost garauntee that right now its in your desk draw, right at the back in the dark, mateing with another, you just wait and see, you will open the draw next week and find six of the little bleeders laying around in there, they won't have any tops on em, they seem to escape to another world, I think they sort of elope with cigerette lighters, but the pens will be there until they get bored and do a runner, they can't stand being used (bit like people really) and always leave before their time is up, I've yet to use one fully in thirty years. I have a theory that they are a bit like Elephants that hobble off to die on their own, they know it's coming you see, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if the Bics didn't join the Elephants in their graveyard, I've never lifted a dead Elephants ear, but I'm willing to bet that behind it there is a sackfull of Bics. Yep thats the answer....look behing a dead Elephants ear :smug:

Roll on Saturday where i will be with REAL friends.....

Back to this one again im afraid..... :x
Thought the end of the week was nigh, when I had to drop off my friend at Stansted at 7:40pm Thurs, traffic was a bit heavy but id left early so we had spare time. Sitting in traffic, i happened to say that this was why we left early, to which she replies, yeah but ive only got 20 mins to get there????? Turns out she had given me the LATEST possible time she had to be there, not the time that check in opened :doh:
Needless to say, she missed the flight, i had to drive her back to mine and then drive her back again at 5am this morning.............. banghead

HOW FUCKING DARE YOU! mad

How dare you sensor any Private Messages sent from one member to another and then pull the thread that lets everyone know what you're doing screening people's messages.
Swinging is based on mutal trust and respect. I wouldn't let or want you reading my snail mail or email, so why do you think that sensoring private messages is anything but an infringement of civil liberties.
It is NOT in the terms and conditions of when I signed up that my PMs could or would be monitored and to see someone post about having their Private messages checked through is completely out of order. Are email addressees going to be the next thing we're not allowed to talk about because you say so?

I am not technical at all ............. but even I know how this works .............. a word or words are put on a list ........... as soon as they are typed or sent the banned words are changed to read something else .......... thats all ........... nothing is read .......... there is no prying............. no one can see what you've written !!!

It is nothing new gem, filtering out particular words has always been part of the site, it is just that you have never tried to use any of the words on the list in a part of the site that was monitored by the script before.
The site is a communications platform, and the subjects that are appropriate for discussion on it have always been censored and limited by the owners. For example, escort agencies have always been discouraged from conducting their business on the site through the use of automatic scripts.
One of the benefits of the new structure is that the resources available to censor and control site content are greater than the resources of the individual. The prevention of inappropriate discussions has now become more ..... robust.
This is not a freedom of speech issue. It is simply a disagreement about which subjects are appropriate and which are not. The site owners thought it was inappropriate for that particular subject to be discussed on a platform that they are now providing.

I don't know about auto-censoring but this afternoon I have noticed everything is going slowly. I thought it was my computer. Certainly it's been a heap of junk since I got it.

I was more complaining about the pulling of the thread and asking about what exactly was censored than anything else. I am more than happy to know there are blockers to stop the spammers etc... keeps us all safer and happier.
