I DONT

only olympics I'm interested in are bedroom ones
Nope. I've got a feeling the BBC are going to lose lots of viewers and listeners because of their blanket coverage of the Olympics, up to 12 hours a day they say. Apart from maybe a bit of the football I'm not gonna watch anything. It seems to be all about who takes the best drugs these days, or who is the cleverest at masking the signs.
Mike.
Nope, I couldn't give a toss about the OlympicsssssZZZzzzzzzzzzzz ...
cool
I'm quite looking forward to the ladies swimming, ladies gymnastics, and ladies beach volleyball. Then I really will give a toss. Or is that have a toss? I don't know, I get confused so easily these days.
I really don't mind, as long as that arse John Inverdale isn't on my telly, but I suspect that he'll probably be the anchorman for the whole event evil That'll lose the BBC more viewers than the blanket coverage lol
Thanks Yellowfrog, I forgot about the women's beach volleyball :P :P :P - that's a must-see!

Nope. rolleyes
There is national pride at stake here folks. It is vitally important that, in order to maintain a sense of worth and dignity in our identity as a nation, we do not watch any form of international competitive sport whatsoever for the remainder of the year because we KNOW we're gonna get stuffed again!! biggrin
I quite like watching athletics myself. I wouldn't stay in purposefully to view, but it's better than the usual daytime shite that's on the rest of the time rolleyes
Damn!!!
I'd managed to forget that the Olmygodanother3weeksofcrapimics are on!!
Now i'll have to forget all over again!!
Whats this thread about????

Mike.
Im a boring git I love the Olympics
The best bits for me are when the entrants from smaller countries are last I just cheer em on no end, there they are swimming for there country and half a lap behind everyone else
and come on girls those lycra shorts  especially on the slow replay redface
There's a comment on another forum I visit about the several million pounds of sponsorship money it took just to get the team for one event and their equipment to the games. Whatever happened to the idea of testing man against man or team against team.
I mean wouldn't it be better, and cheaper, for example, to pop down to Halfords and buy "X" number of identical bikes, draw lots for who rides which each day, and get on with it. Testing man against man, woman against woman and leave the kevlar and the streamlining out of it.
It's supposed to be "the games"

Yeah,
Can't wait. The ultimate sporting event with the ultimate sporting prize....Olympic gold.
In athletics, there is no finer example of the sporting ethos. Bar the relays, man or woman vs man or woman to claim the title of fastest/strongest/highest on Earth.
Not a bad addition to your CV.
Listening to the news on Radio4 (zzzzZZ) (i like eddie mayers' interviews thats all!) and the greek executive or some other for the olympics was being interviewed about the poor way the construction had proceeded, and the fact that now they had to do rush jobs to get it completed.
A question was asked by Eddie Mayer, 'during the construction of the sydney facilities, 1 person died during the whole period' 'during the construction of the greek facilities, 1 person dies every 3 days......(silence)..... how do you sleep at night Mr Executive??'
Startling indeed, 1 every 3 days...... hard to comprehend, i think id phone in sick every third day rolleyes
Olympics? Sue Barker and Steve Rider. Perhaps he rides her til she barks!
The only sporting event of any significance is the start of the Premiership.
COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!
Anyone who likes (watching) football when not partaking in any more strenuous activity should go to the fantasy football website - its great.
I dont think enough attention has been given to this by the british press.. i dont know about the greek press... but it just shows the laxidazical attitude by the greek authorities to the construction, and then their sudden realisation that they are behind schedule, this leads t cutting corners in quality and safety, leading to the demise of a few indiviuals.. Apparently most of the builders had to work 10 hour shifts (or 12 cant quite remember) and were sacked if they refused!!

Question: What have Sue Barker and Princess Grace of Monaco got in common ?
Answer: They both got fucked by Cliffs
Well, Her Highness did, at any rate.
Not so sure about the other one.
