Ok, I'd like you all to make me feel normal for once! PLease!!
I am going to see REM this afternoon at Lancashire Cricket ground and I am so excited I could burst. My head is pounding and the butterflies in my stomach are doing a clog dance to techno music (thats the way it feels anyway) so much that I actually feel a bit sickly!
For the past week I have been running on adrenaline after going to the U2 gigs with work and now the REM gig. I am just buzzing really and the radio just played a tune and I've bounced around more than a shop full of bouncy things!
Does anyone else get so overly excitable like this and what does it for you?
Hi
REM not my cup of tea, but hay, have a great time anyway.
JJ rotflmao
and then there is the yorkie munch tomorrow and John is coming over on sunday and I'm just soooooo excited by it all I could squeal!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
And the weekend is gonna be soooo cool and the weather is supposed to be getting better and I really need a shag but I don't care much cos I'm so too excited to focus on shagging anyway!
:bounce: Oooooooo, soooooooo excited! biggrin
Nice one Gem ...
I got all excited yesterday as DM are touring again and I offered to play for tickets for Morbius to go and see them (bear in mind that DM are not my fave choice of band but they are his and I was offering to go) and I knew about the new tour and he didn't blah blah blah ... so there I was all excited about getting him tickets as a surprise and the fecker has said he isn't bothered about going ! mad
I shan't bother in future!
C x
DM is that DEPECHE MODE per chance ?
:kick: :sparring:
le' me at 'im! grrrrr mad <sulks> on behalf of Cali!
Tell him you'll take someone who wants to go instead! lol Or that you'll ban him from sex for a week if he doesn't pretend to be excited just a little bit! dunno Might not work but I reckon he'll be excited once it comes around!
kiss

Maybe it's the build up of the excitement and then going flat Calista?
I think that's what's happening with me too.
Was so looking forward to U2 but have found myself making excuses not to go 'cause I'm just feeling kinds Blah. But luckily my friend wont take no for an answer either lol
Let's hope it's a matter of it being an unexpected brilliant night like most of those "flat" starts to an event tend to be biggrin

YOU HAVE TO GO!
Seriously, It is a fantastic show with a mix of modern tunes and U2 classics! (ignore Bono ranting on about this that and the other) The crowd was rocking and the sounds were just so crisp, working the crowd like true professionals! you will sooooo love it!
Go Jen! It's one of the best gigs i've been to in years!
:bounce: I'm still on an adrenaline high from wednesday.

I love the buzz of a concert and especially a band I have never seen before!
I saw Elton John for first time a few weeks ago and was so excited as I had never seen him and came away very sore throated (Singing away).
A shame cos one of the last bands on my tick list is Pink Floyd and I didnt get a G8 ticket sad

You know I wish I had seen this before I left for the gig cos now it is just one huge whirl of excitement, music, jumping about, singing along, phone calls and taking pictures!
The adrenaline high was actually more after I had seen U2, but I put that down to the fact I have never seen U2 before and their new album tracks are quite good. The last time REM played Lanc ccc in 2003 the album they had released was better (in my opinion) than the one they have just released so it made for a better gig. This time there wasn't so many jumpy tunes although that didn't stop me from dancing round and bouncing up and down every now and then. lol Good gig and I'll wear my tshirt today with pride! biggrin
Happy cats! I think you best formulate a response team to rescue the kidnapped album from the dwarf yorkshire folk before they start brewing up! Yorkshire tea, the way things used to be...... eeek :scared:
Elton John!!! Deffinately not my cup of tea but then I've seen some really good concerts by people I wouldn't have thought twice of buying a ticket for and really enjoyed the concert. Morrisey was one of these, he was very good but I wouldn't have bought a ticket to see him! I'm just cheap! :D
:bounce: Yay! REM rock! :D

Oh good! bout time Yorkshire got warm! Last few times I've been freezing my bits off!
So small outfits for the munch tonight then???
Don't forget to send ransom notes for the safe release of the album or else it's kinda a waste of time! ;)
kiss
Gem. x busy planning what to wear for the munch biggrin :bounce:
personally i dont like goggs dont get me wrong i love depeche mode and rem and other bands but i hate the ideas of giigs. That was until i watched.........
OASIS AT THE HAMMERSMITH APPOLO
it was like heaven
I was at this one yesterday - had a great time!!!!!
Gem.. how big was it at Lancashire cricket ground? I'm going there to see Eminem in September and just wonerding if I need to get there really early to actually be able to see him on stage. I don't wanna be at the front, but I'm a short arse so need to get the best view poss.
H xx
WOW whata brill gig I went to last night, but bloody scorching!! Saw Greenday at Milton Keynes Bowl, just such a fun event with everyone in good spirits and Leprechaun behaving as usual (or not behaving as the case may be) Bloody pinching traffic cones and throwing them into my car!! rolleyes
NOW today, we are off to U2 and its another scorching day! Lots of water i think and sun factor confused
Yippee!!! What a brill weekend!!
I am going to see REM on 6th July At Notts
I cant wait either little gem
Buzzing even more now youve told me its a good show

this is my first post so blame Vicky_uk if shes shown me wrong :P
Awww YorkieShell! passionkiss I've never had someone make a first post on a thread I've thrown up biggrin Welcome to SH wave
It was a good show even if they did do too much of their new music which I think is a little drab to be doing at a gig, not crowd bouncing material which I love so much! Getting into the thick of things down at the front! I've not sweated that much for ages! Even my knee caps were sweating! :D
Helen, I assume they'll leave the stage where it is for the Eminem gig. It's quite far from the seated area which gives the higher views. Pack your peg so you can't smell the sweat if you get near the front! It really does stink! lol A lovely lady like yourself would be able to charm folk into letting you near the front although slighty to the side might be the best option. dunno
I've kinda hit a lul now mainly due to the hangover from hell after the yorks munch. I was so sick yesterday I couldn't even eat!. Took my dad out for lunch and all I ordered was vanilla ice cream! redface It was all I could keep down surprisedops: It's not big and not clever and I am sooo not drinking at a munch ever again.......... erm....... until next time!
How was everyone else's gigs?
I went to the U2 gig and REM at LCC. Im now off to Glasto tomorrow for a real good time!!!1
Cant wait!!!
Chris
I saw REM at Stirling Castle a few years back - they are brilliant, you'll love it! I am going to see Oasis at Hampdon Park next Wednesday, hopefully it will be as good as their Knebworth gig.
I would really like to see Pink Floyd at the Live 8 gig in London so if anyone has a spare ticket I would only be to pleased to accompany them! Cheers
Went to see REM some months back and sorry to say I thought they were awful sad . Its great news that Depeche Mode are touring again. Just hope they ain't past it lol
