.. in the Old Wild West there was a very bored, very cynical Englishman. He stumbled on a small provincial, quite 'lil town and decided to make it his home and open a coffee shop.
We all know there's a vast chasm between American English and British English but even I didn't see the potential for hysterics... for the Englishman named his coffee shop Wankers Corner! The poor locals havne't a clue...
Don't believe me?
Try this....
The current proprietor can't understand the great interest his website has from across the world but being astute in business matters he has launced a whole range of Wankers Corner merchandise. The range is called Wankerwear and has a higher turnover than his coffee does.
So... who's going to tell him?
Hxx
Is that really for real????
If so, what does "wanker" mean in the old west???
LOL!!!!
I had to surf that site twice before I was convinced it wasnt a wind up Heather. I don't know if it has anything to do with it Mich but I think 'Wanker' was an old slang name for a sailor at one time. Dunno if you'd get many of those in Oregon though....
Peter
It's no wind up, I assure you... I only thought to relay it to you guys because a workmate came in today sporting his newly acquired 'Wanker' cap.
I have no idea of the official meaning of 'wanker'... but then neither have the Americans it would seem!
lol
think i'll skip the "on tap" section
