One for the ladies - Bra Shopping

Went bra shopping today - and why is it that I can only find my size in non attractive bolder holders....
I have nice pretty stuff , but dont want to wear it to work... ( I am the only woman where I work!!!)
So who knows of nice normal feminine stuff you can buy in the high street!!

I suppose that depends on the size!
I'm 34D (sometimes DD) - playtex affinity are great for every day.
Even Matalan do 'pretty' stuff at everyday prices for everyday wear
If you are bigger than DD then I think you may struggle

My nightmare is bra shopping ....... the only place that I can get relatively feminine and right sized is George at Asda.
I can get boulder holders that cost a fortune in most shops, M&S, Contessa, etc but nothing that I don't need a mortgage for sad

I wouldn't say I'm hugely sized either :(

i have a NIGHTMARE finding any bra.. let alone pretty ones! sad

the manufacturers seem to assume that if you are anything more than a DD cup... u want your boobs to drop to your knees or something! confused

there are some internet based sellers, but they tend to be a lot more expensive than you pay on the highstreet.

worryingly i am fascinated by this thread :crazy: ...... brought back memories of being a teenager perving through the ladies underwear section of my moms Grattan catalogue confused

what do you mean as a teenager!!! I still have to think twice when I go into Marks and Sparks!!! I would like to point out i don't go into the undie section as a norm!! It is just that there is no other way to get to the clothing section (ahem,,,, honest!) redface

I have trouble too, when i do find a bra thats reasonably priced, fits and looks very very good, i buy 3 or 4 in different colours! Currently M&S are my favs, until they decide not to seel them anymore sad

Wouldnt mind, but im only 34DD, nothing outrageous.
There are mail order companies around thou, like Bravissimo and Figleaves that cater for larger ladies too.

I find George at Asda good for everyday bra's. All reasonably priced too.
If no joy there try Debenhams they have reduced their prices lately.

yeah.. asda do have some lovely stuff.. but dont go into very big cup sizes! :cry:

I go to a store in the triangle in Manchester Bravissimo, which specialises in larger cup sizes, to gg in some styles and up to 44 inches around i think...but dont quote me on that!
I go in the sale when you can get a real bargain... well something under twenty quid.
Otherwise I find the outlet store at cheshire oaks or the Warner outlet store in southport.
Debenhams is a god send sometimes, also look out for the fantasie range which start at Dcups.
I am 38/40F and find it ok to find bras, you just have to learn where to shop and what time they release new stock cos the big sizes go fast.

Se7 is just off to multimap to get a location map for Bravissimo, book a day off work and sit wait for all the busty ladies to frequent this shop :shock:

if i want a nice one i go to a designer oulett village they tend to sell good names at cheaper prices

You should try an erotic ctatalogue called PABO, I have ordered quite a few peices of underwear, not just kinky, everyday wear too and it is quite cheap and they look I am quite chesty aswell

I get my bras from Bravissimo, they do some gorgeous ones. Quite expensive, but being bigger busted, bras have never been cheap anyway.
I still wear me giant, substantial Triumph ones lol - but the Bravissimo ones are cut different, so you can wear lower cut tops etc

Ladies have you looked at the Avon book lately. I have been buying undies from there for a while and they do a wide selection of sizes but only in the book, online is not so good.

If you are big busted buying nice undies is not always easy.
For everyday Fantasie are good and they do up to a J now thought what they call a 38J is really a 38H.
Rigby and Pellor are fab and they make the queen's undies (that is Lizzy's - not just celticqueen's). They are sexy but substantial.
Prima Donna is a great range they are the big size selection from La Perla - not always available - they do bodies and all in ones upto a 40H (hurray)
Bravissimo are good though lots of there styles seem to stop just the size below me (I try not to think of myself as too much of a freak :cry: ).
I have a file of larger size lingerie suppliers if anyone is interested feel free to contact me - I am more than happy to bore the pants of you about my favourite subject. rolleyes
