ok im a member of a swinging site, does this give others the automatic right to message me outta the blue requesting a meet up and a pic??
I do not mind polite pm's and welcome meeting and getting to know other members, however i do not have a ad placed at present so when i recieve these Pm's bluntly asking to meet why am i viewed as a bitch when i politely refuse?

Because that's the mentally of the chancer. It seems to be just one of those things you can't prevent. All you can do is ignore them and hope they go away, and if they carry on harassing you or being abusive, one of your friendly neighbourhood mods will probably make them go away.

I would suggest that with the broad spectrum of people using the site.... you are bound to get a few weird pm's...... i think most of us have had them from time to time.... ranging from the fairly innocuous... Hi... i live near you... lets meet up now....... to the down right deviantly rude. I look to see what they have written... if its the one liner... or the openly and sometimes offensive then the delete button comes in rather handy.....
