I couldnt agree more,i was just saying that i didnt agree with it being done,just because they can thats all!
I doubt that they ever do it 'just because they can'.

I have NEVER EVER locked a thread 'just because I can' and find the thought offensive.
I recently locked a thread but PMd the author of it before hand and gave my reasons for wanting to do it - this was a thread from a 'regular'. Of course the odd TTTT thread, the abusive ones or those which blatantly break the site AUP are done there and then and the offenders mostly melt into the internet ether.
Now, do you think I should lock this one??? :P

As the instigator of this 'debate' and having seen it begin to degenerate, I think it should now be locked but not deleted and allowed to die a natural death.
