A friend and I were talking about bulimia the other day and she thinks there
is a strong connection between rough oral sex and bulimia.
Does anyone have any views on this?
Please expand... confused :?:

Are you trying to say that those who have performed or taken part in deep throating, or similar, are predisposed to Bullimia?
Don't get your thinking, sorry
I'm going to bet bulimics always spit...

Does that mean they swallow, then force themselves to be sick ?
Sort of "Wanna swallow, but can't risk the calories"
dunno
Ah - got it !
Swallowing makes them sick.
Had a wife like that once rotflmao
Could start a new dieting group/fad......
Throatwatchers!!!!
my friends view is that people are predisposed to bulimia after rough oral
just wondering what you lot think, I dont know
Nah, bollocks. If you think that a significant proportion of cases of bulimia are caused by rough oral sex then ..... well it just ain't logical. I think I put that very nicely - don't you?
But many cases of bulimia start prior to onset of sexual experiences..... or are you saying it's the other way round? That if you are subjected to a torrent of oral sex then you'll be more prone to bulimia? Well, if that were the case, I would be a size 8, rather than the size I am....
Sorry no data evidence etc My friends flat mate has bulimia and her view
is that with deep oral sex the gag reflex means that many young women
get use to the feeling and de-sensitized to it, therefore the act of making themselves
sick is an easier step to make.

I have never heard of any such connection. However, I and no doubt many others would be interested if you have any evidence or data regarding such a connection.
Judy

That's just a very polite way of saying what I said "Nah bollocks!"
Nah, cant see any connection in this at all.
dunno
isnt it more that people who suffer from Bulimia find vomiting 'easy' because its one of the 'necessary' things that they 'have' to do as part of the illness. Its a compulsion rather than a reaction???
and anorexics also experience the gag reflex (usually) after eating....
and males also suffer from both eating disorders......
and , throwing an extra one in for good measure - bulimics and anorexics psychologically train themselves to be sick pretty easily. If anything, IMO, this would perhaps make them more prone to NOT being able to deepthroat because the minute something touches the back of the thraot, this might set off the 'gag' reflex more so than in someone who really has to shove their fingers into their thoat in order to make themselves sick. :dunno:
and IMO young people are 'naturally' more nervous of deepthroat or rough oral - the ability to relax your throat sufficiently to deepthroat comes with experience and feeling comfortable about oral sex - and not IMO from inexperience and 'drunken fumbles' they would probably be having as a *teenager* (using this loosely)

Nah, that's definately bullshit. Bulimia is an eating disorder and not connected with sexual activity (not in the sense you are suggesting anyway).
I take it your friend is not a trained professional in this area.
The only connection between bulimia and oral sex is cheese. If your knob smells of it then she's gonna chuck. Otherwise any connection is complete twaddle. Bulimia is a psychological illness brought on by peer pressure, low self esteem and other factors. Oral sex is a pleasurable act and therefore not connected with bulimia.

Help!!!! I am now pre-disposed to be bulimic! bolt
So based on this view, no lesbians will ever be bulimic?
(Deleted text because I hadn't read the thread properly and ended up repeating several people almost word for word lol )
lol, just to be awkward, but i thought i should contribute by saying that i dont have bulimia (sp?) and oral sex doesnt make me throw up, but having male cum in my mouth does confused

Isnt that just a personal aversion to having cum in your mouth though? dunno

Interesting thought !!!!
your dietry ,eating functions are prefect ,,however your allergic to knob
it seems that some dutch sociologist's are doing research into a correlation
between oral sex and bulimia
is bulimia not a eating disorder? so how has it got anything to do with sex, oral or other wise, bulimic women would still make themselves sick if they never had sex, bulimia is a mental health issue and has nothing to do with sex, what about str8 males who are bulimic? its not sexest you know men can suffer with t it too :lol2:
