OT - Web browser for VISTA

Can anyone recommend a good fast web browser for Windoze Vista 32bit?
At the moment i'm using IE8 and it is painfully slow, which is strange because Vista has just been reinstalled, so in theory the laptop is clean (less all our mucky photos LOL)...
I just need a browser that is fast to load pages and can handle multiple pages open at once (tabbed?) and is stable. Oh, and the usual stuff with Java, faves, etc..

I'd recommend using Firefox or Opera. Don't touch IE with a bargepole! poke

Cheers, i'll read up on them. Didn't realise how bad IE was until is googled "speeding up IE8"!

I use Firefox on Vista. So far works a treat.

As above, Firefox is A1 imho, and if you google how to speed up firefox and follow the instructions it's almost instant, even on a lappy.

Just been reading up on Google Chrome too. That seems very competent too.

when someone starts a thread and puts OT at the begining, what does it mean .... iv googled it (as you do smile )and think maybe it means off topic but just wondered ........ :)

As the OP I used OT to mean off topic, as browsing isn't really about swinging, unless it has another meaning I've totally missed LOL redface
Well, I'm using google chrome at the moment, and it is a thousand times faster than IE8 biggrin
I'll give Firefox a spin tomorrow and keep which ever I take to the most.
