Can anyone help me with microsoft outlook 2000
When recieving a email containing a link im unable to click it. Its easy to copy and paste it into a new address bar but recently I recieved one which I think is known as a 'macro'?
No address to copy just a button.
Can anyone show me how to change the settings?
Muchos Gracias amigos! smile
To be honest I wouldn't change the settings at all. The reason for Outlook disabling the links is to stop you from having a Virus put onto your system. 90% of all ISP's will now reject any active link in any Email for just this reason ( why I always disable the links when I write out the Email so it gets sent no problemo ).
If you do want to change the settings you'll need to look up the secutiry settings in options but makes sure that you have a good , updated firewall and anti-virus package on your pc 1st or you might have problems.

Ahh right, so it might have been an auto update then as im sure it used to accept links.
My virus subscription has run out, i'll prob keep it as it is then, at least until I sort some new anti virus.
Cheers buddy. smile
By the way, if you need a virus scanner then (<--follow the link – its free!). Its a slimmed down (but fully functioning) version of their corporate anti virus program biggrin
You really should have up to date software, especially if you use Outlook for email (most online email providers have a built in virus checkers, which you wont have the benefit of). (Especially if you are going to use it to following links/ allow active content!) rolleyes
