My neighbours think they are god. I am a low down scabby association house low rent person and they bought thier house years ago in 1927 i think. Well my kids are all between 10 - 12 and on occasion play football (granted loudly) outside on a little public green area with no 'dont do this or you'll die' signs on it.
I know that the old bast*rds next door hate this and snipe at mny kids for no reason. I'm hoping they piss off n move but i bet they dont the gits!
Typical homeowners think they own the rest of the f*cking world.

Nope, I really DONT think I own the rest of the world, and maybe you looked at things through their eyes you MAY feel compassion:thumbup:

You are not my neighbour though  I did send them a Xmas card years ago and attempt to tak to them over the massive age gap but the language they spoke was not the common tongue. It was the tongue of the nouveaux homeowner!
And why should I feel compassion for crying out loud? He keeps freakin budgies (or some such birds) in his garden that wake me at 5 in the freakin morning. And his Mrs is a loony. I think sometimes these people forget what is to be young or have young kids. Think. I might just try and get his birds asbo'd the little ******s!

Yeah i am. Thank you for those much appreciated bless you. smile
Lost.. why are you comparing yourself with homeowners? you are actually stigmatising yourself!..
Reading your thread you are actually putting yourself in the category "under" homeowners by more of less saying you "merely rent".
Renting these days means toot, more and more people are renting because to be honest it's probably cheaper and many cannot get on the property ladder.
You are every bit as good as the "house owners" and your kids have every right to live in the house next to the "home owners".
If these people can't understand kids will be kids that's there perogative. Maybe you could ask your kids to play a bit quieter but I doubt they will, you cannot stop kids having their fun, and let's be honest, they're playing ball and at least that's safe.
I cannot abide hoity toity neighbours who think they own the right to the street! yeah let's start a campaign!
Well.. until the ball hits their window bolt
"Typical homeowners think they own the rest of the f*cking world."
Where did this statement come from?
It is as big (and wholly incorrect) a generalisation as I think i've ever heard on the Forum.
We have kids who play football on our green just about every night and not one of the neighbours complains. And we certainly don't think we own the "rest of the world" just the bricks mortar and land we are paying for!!
This is the thing I dont get, why would you place a social segregation between yourself and "home-owners"?
People who own their own home are no better or worse than anyone else, I dont think you get a medal or anything?
But here's my opinion for the record.
We own our own home, we love it have spent a lot of money getting it the way we want it and spend a large proportion of our income on the mortgage and associated insurances and upkeep of the property etc.
People who rent may love their home just as much but in reality if something goes wrong or needs repairing, then the landlord/housing association in most cases will repair or rectify it. Homeowners don't have that luxury and even claiming on the insurance up's their premiums for the next year, and those on a tight budget like us, cant always afford this!!
I think you may need to analyse the situation between yourself and your neighbours before attacking the rest of the home owning section of the populous, a mere 25 million of us! Maybe it's a personality or generational clash, or a culmination of little things that have transpired in the past to create this situation ?
Neighbours don't always get along or see eye to eye, im pretty sure it wont be because you don't own your own home that your neighbours have fallen out with you or have a bad opinion of you, so maybe you should give us homeowners the benefit of the doubt too?? confused
Such a sweeping generalisation I have never seen before here..
What gives you the right to state that home owners think they own the world simply because they have chosen to own the home they live in as opposed to renting ??
Jealousy dunno
This is the green well whats left of it, just around the corner from where i live...it use to be really nice with flower beds in the centre...but guess what...them pesky kids playing football(the park was less than ten minutes away and just too far to walk to rolleyes )...completely destroyed it...several residents(homeowners and tenants) complained about this and eventually something was done about...but it will be awhile if ever before the green returns back to normal....you want to whinge about there being no place for the kids to play footie...take it up with your council...not on people who want to live for a bit of peace and quite in nice surroundings!
tsk, think yaself lucky i don't even own my own car at the moment thanks to an idiot driver rolleyes
on the otherhand we aint got any neighbours so maybe we do own this part of the world :P
I'm a house owner and I worked bloody hard for it thanks.... fact is you seem to have an issue with your neighbours and had nothing to do with ownership of house etc. If the green does say no ball games as you seem to say, then maybe you should be not allowing your kids to use it for that purpose. Kids do need places to play and have fun and kick a ball about. However thats an issue to take up with your local council and not your next door neighbour. reading your post and the agression and langauge used...i actually have more sympathy with your neighbours than yourslef.
I'm a home owner. I have installed barbed wire fencing arround my property, I have it patrolled regularly by armed guards. Any children seen playing ball within a five mile radius are politley asked to refrain from enjoying themselves and making any noise.

wow what a thing to say
Sorry, don't agree here, if we ever decided to buy our own home it would only to give us a little security and to be able to leave something to our kids.
Tony wink
I live in hope that i might get grown ups outside our house playing with their balls...........but then i would be accused of being some kind of pervert  ...................................maybe its the pet alligator in the front garden pond thats putting them off........
I'm a single parent in a council house and on benefits. Kiss my ass! lol
Seriously, there are stereotypes and some people do seem to take them on board as being the truth for all but I think, like the others posted, that your issues are with the neighbours personally not the fact they own their home or not.
My neighbour used to whine at me if a guest of mine parked in front of their house - even though they had a garage and a drive and I had neither - and they don't own the actual road, right?
I could say it was 'cos they owned their house and I was a tenant but they sold up and moved and the house is now rented out to some snotty bitch who also complains if anyone parks outside her house.
My nextdoor neighbour bought her council house a few years back - she still talks to me!!!
Ok so i'm not a home-owner. In fact I still live with my parents so i'm not the best person to speak on this but still...
They bought the house we live in 11 years ago and have since spent thousands of pounds to get it the way they like (pretty much like everybody else who owns a house) with a tight budget (again like the whole population of Britain) and currently only on one income.
We've had some problem neighbours in the past but that's because they themselves were pains in asses (and granted I was 15 at the time and didn't help matters biggrin )
Basically I've just repeated what everybody else has said but you can't lay the blame on them for just owning a house. If they don't want to make up then bollocks to them. That's their problem not the house they own or the fact you rent. Just have to live and let live.
I own my house - well, I've got a motgage on it.
As it's an ex-council property, the neighbours are council tenants.
In the 14 years I've been here, I've had 3 sets of neighbours.
One 21 year old who made mine and the neighbours lives a misery, until she was finally evicted.
One young couple who played their music loudly and fixed their stereo speakers to the party wall AFTER I asked them to turn it down a bit.
One fella in his 60s who has his girlfriend round, and they argue at the tops of their voices till 3 a.m most nights.
Was their behaviour connected to the fact that they were all tenants?
No!!! It's because they were all tw*ts!

OMG...
What a thing to say...
We own this house and think no better or worse of ourselves than anyone else.. Makes no difference as to the type of housing you live in paid up or not as to what type of person it makes you.. They may or may not be gits.. buying the house made no difference nor does not owning make you lower class..
Ask yourself seriously would you want to live next door to someone like your kids?? As people get a bit older they do get less tolerant, thats just human nature.. You say they snipe at your kids can you be absolutely sure your kids are blameless?? Seriously??
How the feck can they move.. who would buy if the offered it for sale.. Would you want to let your parents live next door? I don't know you or your kids but statements like that won't help sorry.
The country is full of situations like this.. I bet they were wishing they could move..
And for good measure when someone goes on about racism or the like I always say the same thing... Who would you want as a neighbour a decent asian black or otherwise ethnic family or a crowd of hooligan kids??
I'm shocked lol... Really I am
Lost, good job I know you and take you with a pinch of salt, sounds like my street :lol2: :lol2: Wanna do an exchange??
Im your neighbour from hell!! I play loud music, sing loudly at the top of me voice, get drunk every Friday night and annoy anyone i can, take footballs from small children (and the odd large one) and make them cry, row like a fishwife, regulary beat the silly git from no 36 up, flirt with all the husbands and continually flash at em out of my window!
I even was asked to sign a petition to get me out confused :?
We've owned our house for nearly 20 years, some of our oldie neighbours anywhere upto 60 years.
The rented properties on our street, the rentees think they own the F***in world with their 8 kids in 2 bed terraces 3 old bangers parked outside and their kids playing football on the street trying to get it over the roof and bouncing of cars that most people save a fortune to be able to afford with the park literally across the street 30 seconds away.
However
I shut my door and close my curtains and Im home, owned or rented, neighbours are neighbour and can be bad or good whoever they are

being the only (well nearly)homeowners on our green...everyone else has sold up to housing associations to get away from us...we always used to have a residents association and chip in £1 a week to cut the grass etc...now no one wants to pay...we let it grow....grass a foot long n stray trees growing....now they can`t play football pmsl

In every community here will always be people who think they are superior to others, and also those who like to mark themselves out as different from the rest.
Why, one or two even post in coloured text! lol

I dont think the "old bast*rds" are at fault!
I don't think it has anything to do with owning!
I think it has more to do with consideration for others.
You did ask!!! kiss

Ah. Lost's point is proven then. The stereotypes live on. Shame.
