Someone told me recently that to have a clump of this in your front garden was a secret signal that you were swingers.
I've never heard this before but it has a cosy pre-internet 1980's feel to it and I wonder if anyone else has ever heard of it?
There was a thread about this a while ago but i`ve searched and can`t find it now :!: lol .
wave :welcome: to the forums.
Sorry folks I've just discovered a previous thread on this topic...boring....

Try and find a topic not already discussed on here? It's difficult. And as there are new people joining and reading all the time I feel that it's fine to go over topics again.
Keep posting Peter.
so for the benefit of the far greater lazy members around here - what was the concensus of opinion on the other thread Re Pampus Grass and it being Swining related????
I have also read it somewhere, its like a secret sign to other swingers that you are in 'the lifstyle lol....
our local council uses pampass grass in its 'green' features outside various places in the town...........I wonder if theres summat theyre trying to tell us
Apparrently there was a TV play a few years ago with Martin Clunes and it was mentioned in that.
For all we know the script writers might have made it up.
The Pampas Grass was a focal point of the spoof Sex Actually on the BBC back in December 2005.
This is where the urban myth sprung from and has been doing the rounds ever since. Of course the longer something is a myth then the truer it becomes...
By their very nature swingers are discrete...so this would be the typical antithesis of their lifestyle.
