I was listening into a conversation at work the other day about swingers. Apart from them all agreeing it was like the TV advert where they put the keys in a glass, and everyone would shag everyone else........they also said. as a fact, that every swinger has a pampas grass in their front garden to signify that they are swingers. They were saying this is how we tell each other who we really are.
Have you heard of this before?
Where did this story come from?
And who has one?
I dug mine up last year, but it was nothing to do with swinging.......I put it in cos my little un loved the "feathers".

i think its come from TV and a way of so called middle class couples who dont go to pubs, and before the internet was around finding each other. Script writers needed some thing to fix to.
That particular plant was very popular in gardens in the 60'-70's that would explain it.
i could be totally wrong, and if iam im sure some will tell me.
You show me the grass and ill smoke it lol

Should I have been concerned when my parents had pampas grass in their back garden?
Thank goodness they don't have it anymore!

Heard this one before. If it's true then lots of the people our area are swingers and there are also quite a few living near St. Michael's Mount in Cornwall. We saw loads of it last October!
I`d never heard this before til reading this thread.
There arent any pampas grass here at 36 towers.
Yes heard this well before we became swingers. It was on one of the TV programmes with Ade Edmonson in about swinging neeghbours. But somehow we knew of it before that, not sure how though! We spent weeks digging up one in our front garden years ago, bloody nightmare roots!
