sad
Not sure how many people knew about or used Pandora but it WAS bloody brilliant. Went on this morning to find that due some US half arsed licensing regs they can't broadcast to the UK anymore :(
You could choose your favourite band then it would pick songs from them and other similar artists you may like. You could give a thumbs up or down to their choices and it would remember so eventually each time you logged in you had your own playlist of great songs. Heard some great stuff from bands I'd not heard of (at the time) on their like Interpol and Team Sleep.
Back to Kink FM on itunes radio for me then, Pandora RIP
Just been told about so all is not lost presuming it's any good.
Oh!
Thought this was going to be about Adrian Mole's ex-girlfriend. rolleyes
have you tried acessing it via a proxy server?
eg
or just google proxy server and look for one that works wink
Thanks but looks a bit techy for me.......as soon as I read 'instruct your computer to' I knew this wasn't for me as my computer never listens :-)
The great western "free world" don't you just love it rolleyes
A tecchie told me about this woo hoo biggrin
I used to use pandora when it was pretty new, maybe a year and a half ago? Thought it was an ace idea, and it did introduce me to some cool stuff, but I got annoyed by it seeming to have a fairly limited repertoire so i stopped using it.
Still that was early days, so maybe it's expanded since...
Tipical... "pandora coming to your country soon"
Yeah that means what ever it costs now in USD it will cost the same in GBP so twice as much as the yanks!
Oh well I don't use it so not really an issue for me, but they've probably had a whole load of shit dropped on them from the US music industry.

ooohhh !!! i like this
But this is even better
I thought i'd mention this site
Its a radio show from San Francisco, kinda chilled house music etc.. but covers quite a broad selection of styles.
They archive every show, and its definitely one of my favourite sites. I think they have about 11 years of past shows stored, very good if you like that kind of music wink
Think you need to register (free) to listen to the shows. Very good site!
My fave is the 'Assoto Sounds' shows, just type it in the search box (archive) cool
