I can't answer yer question on geocaching my friend, jellybelly666 (what a great name!), but I am going to thank you for resurrecting this thread.
One reason is that I've seen the OP smiling and having a good time sometime since he posted originally. That gives me some hope and reassurance. Stormie.
The second is that I was feeling down this time last year as well. And I have been feeling similarly so far this this year - could it be the time of year???...
Well no. Because last weekend we had a visit from some lovely friends hereabouts who've perked me year up no end!! biggrin
Life is a series of swings and roundabouts. You've just got to stay on 'em!!
.

And if you fall off just pick yourself up dust yourelf down and step right back on
Passion is a funny word isn't it?
Passion is the emotion of feeling very strongly about a subject or person, usually referring to feelings of intense desire and attraction.(Wikipedia)
I love my family with a passion, I study my subjects and feel passionately about the area I'm studying in.
I can understand Stormy kiss A few years ago I worked in law, I was passionate about my work and wanted to help people, but that passion faded alongside changes in law and justice issues, in the end I simply went to work, did my job and came home sad
I switched careers working now in an area that gives me so much joy, it's rewarding and I'm loving every day and every new challenge.
As to passion in the love life, everyone would love to have the return of the 'early days' when you couldn't take your hands off each other, the classical honeymoon period, but in reality this cannot last, that kind of passion is replaced with love, contentment, security and happiness (with the off passionate session thrown in  )
(In edit: I hadn't realised this post was over a year old.. confused Stormy I hope you've found what you were looking for in that meantime xx)

Mmmm... I can empathise with this Mar. I've just switched careers too and am retraining in an area of work that I find truly inspiring and rewarding... as a consequence I find it very easy to be passionate about work - even when I'm having a (rare) bad day!!
As for the love life... I've just met someone and we're getting to know each other a little better and so it is oh sooooooo easy to be passionate about him too - long may it last!
I think we all have stuff we feel passionate about, it just depends on where we are in our lives as to how strong that passion is.
