Just thought I'd let u know that I went on the depo injection today. Had a bit of arse ache for a few hours afterwards but all is well up to know....I'm praying very hard that I'm in the 1/3 of women who's periods stops! :rascal:

Please let me know how it goes. I'm at my wits end with mine banghead There is no way in HELL I'm going for the ablation and I'm giving serious thought to asking my doc to refer me for the big op redface
I'm off for the ablation in a fortnight :scared: after 6 years of problems. I tried the mirena and it made me tonnes worse sad Can't have the depo
I've begged for a hysterectomy but they say I'm too young :(

I so hope it works for me as I'm about suicidal each month now with the pain and without getting too intimate, we're about considering shares in sanitary wear because I spend a fortune each month!
If they "only" make them lighter I'll be relieved but ultimately I'd like them gone completely :(

Hiya Seren. Well, since I've been for the depo which was whenever I wrote this previous message above, I've been bleeding since. Saying that, I didnt yesterday or today so maybe its finally kicked in or Im preggaz :scared: :scared: :scared: but saying that, the whole time I've been bleeding I've had no period pains, even tho 1 period blended into the next one and they've been lighter than normal
:bounce:

it's been nearly a month since she had the depo injection and it's been a month of bleeding the last period as blended in to the next period :censored: ,tho she did say there was no period pain :bounce: ,if the bleeding continues after this period then she said she wont be going for the next injection...she's now thinking of getting the implant anyone had it,is it any good...i no that differant things work for differant people as this thread as proven, but any advice would be gratefully accepted...

Hi creampie,
I think u might find that the more injections u have, the better it is... it takes time for your body to get used to having progesterone being dripped into it all the time. Ive just had my 5th injection and im finding im now totally period, pmt and of course pain free. Stick with it if u can cos its great after a while. Talking of the implant, my daughter has one and she finds that she still bleeds now and then. Not painfully or heavily but enough to be annoying.
Hope this helps and see how things progress ....
Suze xx
spot on suze. .mrs c had her 2nd defo a few weeks back and as you,she is now period free and period pain free(she never got pmt)..she gets the odd discharge every cpl of weeks but it only lasts for a few hours..she has gained a cpl of pounds and her boobs have grown a bit...which she is well chuffed with, the boobs growing not the cpl of extra pounds. lol
I had endometreitis, it was crippling, then went on the mini pill and had a 6 month period, then had a coil and had another 6 month period, both very light but still pretty much non stop. Now, although I still get periods and a fair amount of pain it's nowhere near as bad. Your body just takes time to adjust to whatever you're using, the pill didn't agree with me but the coil is better. The mood swings are still there but I dodn't think anything will stop that. Hang in there, it will get better with time.

Thank you ... I've tried the mirena and that didn't work either, the only option open to me now is a hysterectomy and they've already refused to give me one of those as I'm too young

too long a thread, so apologies if i'm repeating, and wandering off direction . . .
synchronised periods? yes. believed to be an evolutionary Alpha Female thing in pack animals. if the alpha female is 'indisposed' shall we say, it would be bloody dangerous for other females to undermine her by offering themselves sexually to rampant males facing rejection when she's out of action. so, just to make sure they don't get their heads ripped off ((( ))) by a menstruating alpha female ((( :scared: ))) they synchronise.
course, us blokes really ain't all that bovvered by it, and if the alpha female demands a shag, alpha female gets a shag. we know our place! ;)
good for cramps and pains and what have you though as it goes. all them endorphins can really make our lives easier at times yer know! bolt
neil x x x ;)

Well went to the hospital and they've decided that the problem isn't fixable so I'm getting a hysterectomy! The news I've wanted for a long time, but I do feel rather like I've had my feet whipped out from under me

Congratulations calista!! passionkiss
Thats great news and is quite understandable that it's a bit of a shock, fingers crossed the wait isnt too long.

sounds odd being happy that you are having an op, but i know its what you want and need, so i am pleased for you.
dont think about having it done, just concentrate on how things will be better afterwards. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
