The thread on biscuits made me think.
The only biscuit I really enjoy being dunked are Bourban creams. I would dunk the biscuit, and eat the wet bit, then throw the dog the dry half.
We had to have her put to sleep last week, she had stomach cancer. Yet I still throw her the half of biscuit. I still leave half a sandwich, cause she used to make me feel guilty, if I didnt share. I have no idea how long this is gonna last....
So what strange habits have you got into since you got your pets?
Sorry to hear about your dog Red :therethere:
My only strange pet related thing is that I dont eat sliced cucumber because I always picture my old pet tortoise as i go to take a bite n it makes me feel sick  redface
i cant sleep unless my dog on the bed with me n walk round with the lead in my hand tormenting the poor thing
shes lovely n we all love her to bits cant imagine life without her although with her being 10 i know the time will come sooner rather than later
think my son will take it the worst as hel have to eat of his dinner rather than sharing with the dog what he dont want rolleyes  typical kids
she has a nice habit of nicking home made pies when ones back is turned specially deks (never mine  well trained ya see)
I always keep banana skins now...cos my horse loves them. Bless him

since becoming aquainted with rats a few years ago with an ex who chose to keep them, I've always had a certain affinity with the little charmers...
They really are most likable once you get to know them, and nowhere near as *horrid* as thier preceding reputation... thats certainly the case for the domestic chappies anyhow.
Even on seeing wild, city-rats, I get a rather silly though affectionate feel for the poor malighned creatures.
Their reputation does have them constantly associated with squallor and filth... living amongst the rubbish of our society.. wallowing in mess and rot..
My close association with them in the past has had me make a life-decission.... to live in the same manor!

 thought i aught to throw a humourous smiley emoticon or two, just in case biggrin
I had a very old guinea pig that I found in the woods miles from anywhere in the middle of winter...
So I took him home to look after him in his old age, kids named him *pigpog*. He lived in the house with us, snuggled up with the dog, cats and rabbit.
He loved toast and fried egg for brekkie...actually, so did the rabbit confused :?
He did frighten the life outta the Health visitor once... (who didnt like pigpog roaming the house rolleyes ), he climbed into her handbag and went to sleep. Off she goes to the car....puts her handbag on the passenger seat and pops her hand inside to get her car keys... poor women was screaming for ages :?
My kitchen door has muddy streaks and scratches from my cat asking to get in. He died seven years ago, but I've never wanted to wash them off. sad
When cooking especially with mince or chicken, my cat would always know and wait for me to throw the trimmed bits of the chicken or clean the container it came in. She has had to stay with ex but i still out of habit go to throw the trimmed bits to her sad
Sorry about your loss Red.
I don't think I've got into any habits with my dogs, it's more like they've got into habits with me!.. Take for example teatimes, 4pm ish.. no matter where I go in the house whether it be the loo, there they'll be outside the door like two bookends staring at me.. why? cos it's teatime! Also, if I open the coat cupboard, they're both there thinking it's walk time!
cool
we havent formed any really bad habits with the cat! however she has worked out for herself that toddlers are wonderful things that leave a trail or crumbs and half eaten biccys wherever they go! and they can always be relied upton to share an icecream with!  eugh!
I think I may develope a nasty habit with my cat involving a brick, a bag and the local brook. mad
Why?
The monster has suddenly decided that the inside of the house is a good place to leave little surprise packages. :x In the wardrobe, in a sportsbag, on a pile of papers from work. :x :x
Try explaining the interesting stains to your manager.

Sorry about your dog Red … I lost my husky a short while ago, also to stomach cancer and she was only 3. Mrs cuk insisted we have her cremated and keep her ashes ….. and she is now in the living room in a most tacky wooden effigy!
We now have 2 RSPCA rescue cats one a cute grey who gets all the attention and the other a scruffy moggie who stays at home and gets none ….. hhhhmmmmmm art (or pets) imitating real life?
confused
Sorry to hear about your loss
When I was still at home and we lost our dog, for days I kept trying to smuggle him bits of dinner off my plate when no one was looking.
I lost one of my bunnies a while ago, she wouldn't touch certain foods so I never bothered to buy them. It's only been recently that I realised I could start buying them again because she wasn't around anymore.
I hope you feel better soon :therethere:
My old dog whenever i sat on the settee would jump up and sit on my shoulder.
we always thought she may have been a parrot in a former life.
my cat still loves to sit on my shoulder even at 13 stems from when i got her as a kitten. i walk around the house its only when i sit down she gets of and sits on my lap.
