Iam not very photogenic sad

I have met people of the internet who have said blymey you look much better than you do on your pictures! I have also met people of the internet who look nothing like they do on there pictures. The problem is initially when trying to get to meet people on the internet pictures are what your judged by !

Its not that Im not photogenic thats the problem its that Im ugly rolleyes

I know what you mean though in all honesty , my lady friend is a really pretty woman but she doesnt look as good in photos confused

Personally hate my pic being taken - I think the reason is that my favourite assett apart from the obvious is my height and that doesn't come across in a pic and always looked stupid in those school ones - dont think i ever recovered!

I don't like my picture being taken either as, usually, you have to keep a ridiculous smile on for ages while some idiot tries to work out how to use their bloody camera! The wait just loses the moment!

happened to me - i was chatting to someone for 2 weeks, they had a webcam and were sending me pics.
arranged to meet them in a bar in town, they recognized me but i wouldn't have had a clue who they were..
cheap webcams have a lot to answer for.
as it happens they were as nice in person as they were on the net, so things worked out very well in the end wink

I've never really done pics, not for about 10 years according to Ian. It was the sign post challenge that changed that.
Darkfire, please think about joining in, honeslty, if I can do some, so can you. If nothing else, go get stripped off and take the pics for your own pleasure because it really is a scream.
You would not believe the risks I have taken, one of the pics is next to where my Mum works, a couple being on the Main road through Meriden. All of them taken between and pm which isn't very late :lol2:
If you deleted the pics it doesn't matter but give it a go kiss

Advice for the "non photogenics"!!! - If you can get your head around a few of the pointers here, you're pics will look loads better!
OK, first things first....think about what's behind you - see so many backgrounds of washing machines or cluttered wardrobes - it's not sexy! Try to find a nice neutral backdrop so the attention's on you, not the background.
Next is the lighting - most people will assume the flash on the camera is good - NOT SO! It's direct light and very. very harsh. It'll bleach out any colour you have in your cheeks and will cast huge shadows on the background. If possible, use natural daylight (try posing near a big window...overcast days are best for neutral light) A bit of natural shadow will make you look more 3D - flash makes you look cardboard cut-out.
Last is down to the lens. When you're taking your own photo, you'll naturally be close to the camera, so chances are if you have a zoom camera, it'll be at it's widest setting. Trouble with that is wide lenses naturally distort perspective, so it'll push your ears back and bring your nose forward! If you can, try to set the lens at around te "70mm" setting (90 if you've got it and the space to work with). - You'll get a much nicer looking pic from that.

For those that already know this stuff - sorry, force of habit! I used to study photography, managed a camera shop for a while and still work in the industry now!
