In response to Freckledbird's thread starting post which included:

Just been browsing some pictures, as you do.
Some of the pictures are lovely, show people as they are - warts and all.
Some, however, seem to be very 'posed', as if people are trying to hide bits.
Some look as if they have been modelled on a pose by someone in a movie or photoshoot.

As a very new member of this site, I felt I should put some photo or two up on the profle, so what do folk think of my profle pic?
Does it looked 'posed' or not? Of course all pics are posed to some extent unless they were taken covertly by other parties wink

Please feel free to rubbish it if that is what you think, but it is the way I often dress in the summer months now that global warming is starting to take effect cool

what's in the background can give me quite a good idea about the person who's pics I'm perving wink

The question here is perhaps, apart from a critique of the pic on my profile (and I welcome all views within reason :shock: ), is: can the colour and style of a persons radiator signify they are "Vanilla" and may always be this way?
Reminds me the the Catherine Tate show and her sketch on the problems "Gingers" face through their life :shock:

Why would you laugh at people who are obviously making an effort to enhance the quality and appearance of their pics dunno

I have a studio set up which makes use of photographic cloth backdrops. There isn't a great deal of difference between cloth backdrops and bed sheets in fact I'd defy most if not all (myself included) to tell the difference from some of the pics on here.
Personally I'm not a great fan of the cock and fanny shots. I prefer to have something left to the imagination and thats the type of pics that appeal to me.
However I'm not going to set up a meeting with someone solely based on their pics. I prefer personality anytime.
The thing that I would find more annoying is the pics displayed which are waaayyyy out of date and are obviously so. Surely people realise that they are going to get found out when they do actually arrange a meet.

Joking aside, I think this has been touched on before and is quite a naughty subject.. there is nothing worse than looking at pics and thinking 'mmm nice' to meet up and they are nothing like the picture. Honesty is the best policy, if noone likes what they see at least they've seen it!

I think that natural looking pics are the sexiest for me... I like the personal nature of them rather than something overly polished. but I'm that way with everything, music, cars, guitars... not so much liking the "lived in" look but definitely liking the "alive" look.
Sometimes "porn" style pics can turn me on... but I *love* those "oh, you caught me" shots when the subject looks at the camera and you get a real blast of personality.
But then... I'm new and at the moment still building the courage to go for more than the bits and bobs shots... I'm happy to flip my cam on for chatroom, and definitely to mail pics of face with emails etc.... so it's obviously a courage of conviction thing for me.

Marya that was the reason for the radiator, it is supposed to look like a casual shot leaning into the corner of the room.
And to pick up on Laird's dislike of cock and fanny shots, (I prefer saying pussy) I doubt I could ever become disinterested in a pretty pussy shot, but as for an erect penis they tend not to impress in a still frame to my eyes.
Some years back I was watching a TV program, where these young arty ladies were talking about their admiration for photos of naked men with semi-hard penises. These are allowed on TV since they are not deemed pornographic. They can look good as you get a sense of scale compared to the thigh (or belly if the person is horizontal) .
I have yet to see a shot of this type while browsing the Gallery here, i.e. sames size as erect but still looking flacid.
