cant belive what has just happened, been going on about getting a cock piercing done for ages, plucked up the courage this afternoon as i knew the piercer was in the shop, she kindly talked me through the diffrent types. when for a guiese (think that is spelt right)
she put me at ease so i whent for it.
did scream a little, got home to surprise my wife had a wee and saw a little bleeding, called her into the room to show off my bravery.........
then we looked and saw nothing at all.. the bloody bar had fallen out!!
phoned the shop they said come back, they looked ...nothing, must have fallen out on the way home...how pissed off am i!!!!!!!!!! mad :x :x :x
now do i wait a couple of weeks and go through it all again?
dont know if i can face it again........... :x
I had to have my navel done twice, as the first time the bar was too far back and somehow got infected.
Had it re done 2 weeks later
Was doing to have a nipple done, but that has put me off for good.
Why do you have to wait a couple of weeks? Could not the piercer have put another bar straight back in when you went back?
If the skin has torn a hole through which made the bar fall I could understand the wait, but if not, there is no reason to wait.

ps. It is spelt Guiche, if you mean the area between your testicles and anus wink
was hoping she was going to pop another bar straight in, but said it may be to sore as it had already started to heal over, am not hurting or sore just really fed up..
if i go again mrs ally will go with me, she still cant belive i had it done in the first place.
may have to wait a couple of weeks though for it to heal..
thought we were going to have some fun with it.....

So it may have been too sore, but at least they could have tried even if it meant giving a quick spray of local anesthetic to numb the area and let YOU decide if it was too sore or not rolleyes
I hope they aren't going to charge you next time? confused
Pity you're not in Dorset. I could have recommended an excellent piercing and tattoo studio. You may even have got discount there wink

she did give me my money back (still not the point though)

Great just what i don't need to hear, planning on getting my nipple pierced on Saturday before Tattys BBQ.
A little nervous about it I'll admit.
well richard,
was going to get my nipple done but have been told that is a painfull one to do!!!
think the guiche (spelling TJ?) would be the least painfull one and the most stimulating one.
not very stimulating now!!!
may be worth a trip to bourmouth just to get it sorted out anyway..
wonder how long to wait if i decide to get it done again?
new a friend who went without sex
for three months after he had it done
all right now

I suppose it's none of my business since I'm never going to have any kind of body art done, but I'm just wondering: When people go to tattooists, piercers etc, do they check the credentials of the people performing the procedures? As far as I know, anyone can provide these services and frankly, if you don't insist on seeing their medical qualifications, I think you're taking a completely unreasonable risk.

Yes, we do. The studio we use, has the relevant up-to-date hygiene certification on display, as well as any kind of qualification/award that any of the tattoo artists have achieved. They are very well known and highly rated in the business. I'm not sure that everyone checks though confused

As far as I am aware, they don't need to be qualified in anything. (but I might be wrong)

No they don't Sarah. At least not medically. There are awards for competitions and such and they all have to be checked by local authorities for hygiene and general standards.

My point exactly. They don't have to be medically qualified but that doesn't mean none of them are. That being the case, doesn't it make sense to go to professionals who can prove they know what they're doing?
good point, did get recomended by a friend and it was all very clean and sterile.
it has been there for a long time and does have a good name.
i must just be unlucky..
still really naffed off.
we sitting here all disapointed i am usally such a baby, took a lot for me to get it done, now looks like i have to go through it all again sad

That's actually not accurate.
All tattoo and piercing studios have to be licenced to perform such proceedures and each individual carrying out piercings also has to qualify for various hygeine certificates.
They also have to undergo a short course on their ability to pierce correctly before a certificate is issued by the local Envoronmental Services. At least that is the case here in Dorset, so I imagine it is in other parts of the country?
These certificates are renewed annually.
Some studio/parlours may well hire people to do the piercing even if they are not qualified. Sadly the customers often have no way of knowing that until, as in this case, the piercing is done inefficiently.

Thanks for the info. smile
I suppose one analogy could be, if I want to run a restaurant, I have to meet all sorts of regulations concerning health and safety, hygene etc, but I don't have to prove I can cook, or if I do, there's nothing to stop me hiring someone who can't. dunno
Good analogy Ice - and not all the good ones are 'properly' qualified.
i would have just gone str8 back and asked them to put another one in

That's more or less correct, although as I've said, here in Dorset, you also have to prove you can do the piercings to a set standard, after which you will gain a certificate of competance.
However, as you say, it won't stop some unscrupulous studios hiring people who don't have these qualifications confused
Maybe I'm biased, but knowing the tattoo/piercing world as I do, I would not go to any other place to have any such work done on my body. At least I know when I had my piercings done, it was without fear of incompetancy or infection :)

A very sensible bias, if you've found a good one then you stick to them. I just get the impression a lot of people treat it like going for a haircut and don't question the credentials of the people they're allowing to perform potentially dangerous procedures.

You couldn't be more correct. My brother has people in his studio seven days a week asking for help to rectify a bad tatt or problem with a piercing which they have had done elsewhere and are too worried to go back and get things put right evil
I would recommend visiting several studios and talking to lots of piercers before making a commitment to any place.
If they are genuine, they will want you to be totally happy with everything before going ahead with any proceedure.
Ask to see their qualifications, in hygeine, piercing and tattooing. If they are reluctant to show these, they may have something to hide and should be avoided.
Sadly for some, these lessons are learned too late sad

still no pain, am still thinking of going to have it re done.
dont know if it was the piercers fault.. have read on a few sites that in most cases they get you on all fours to have it done (not that unusaly for me!!). she did say she had done a few of these piercings before so still not sure what to think.
will see how if feels tomorrow..just was so hyped up to have it done feels like a bit of a let done now..
you live and learn.
thanks naughty,
had the bit between my balls and bum done, supposed to be the most arousing bit!!!
