I'm guessing you are panicing because you thing this is something to do with going on dates with people? Well you can relax! All it does is change the way the forum tells you what day a post was posted on, or the day someone signed up to the forum.
You can have this in 24hour clock format, with year first, have the month as a number instead of word, and loads of other clever but ultimately completely unimportant stuff.
If you REALLY want to know all the details, have trouble sleeping or an urge to commit suide by boredom, you could always take a look at a tutorial on PHP date formatting

This writes the day and month in full, and adds "st", nd" or "th" after the day, as appropriate, so the previous post in this thread is datestamped "Saturday October 16th 2004, 4:39pm" for me.
