pm or pms advice

being new to chatsite can anybody tell me what a pm or pms is,and how to do one.I will be gratefull for any advice

A PM is a Private Message and it is a message that is sent to you by another member and only you can read it. You know you have one as the a little message saying 'new message' appears in the blue box on the right hand side of the page.
You can send a PM either by clicking on the pm button underneath a message placed by someone on the forums, by going into their profile and clicking on contact, or from within you Mailbox (right hand side of screen again) and typing in the persons user name (via the New Message box)
Now PMS, that another thing completely and luckily Im not suffering from it (aka PMT) wink

PM = Private Message - you will see that there is a link at the bottom of my post - if you click this, you can send me (or anyone else a message).

im not sure if there is a difference i know pm means private message and its an email you send to someone you can send them from inside their profile where it says contact member
