i just thought i would post a "pointless" thread, one of no significance and for no particular reason...wanna reply then make it pointless and NO "quotes" from prvious replies, cos then there might be a point...i think..shit this is pointless :shock:

Is this pointless or what:-
Just been to my local town, and parked in the free car park, to be met by a sign saying:-
Short Stay
0 to 2 hours free, but you must display a ticket. rolleyes

so over to the machine we go, and yes you press the green button it gives you a ticket, and you place it in your front window screen, no money needed.
Long Stay
2 to 48 Hours free, but you must display a ticket.
So one can assume the same process applies, as none of the machines took money anyway
Fine for not having your free ticket on dispaly in your car is
Now where is the logic in that :roll:
Are we to assume that the local council are paying a meter warden / traffic warden to walk round this car park checking everyone has their 'free' ticket inthe car window.
