G'day all
I am quite sure that the laws surrounding Pornograhphy are vast and complicated. confused
However, does anyone know if sending 'naughty' pics of yourself / you & a partner etc is considered as Distribution of Pronography by 'The Powers that Be'??
Dxx
As far as I understand the law, you are only breaking the law if you send piccies of yourself (or anyone, come to that) that depict illegal acts. Thus regular shagging pics between consenting adults are perfectly legal.
 phew got worried then for a moment ............ wink
I'd say cover you ass when uncovering your ass.
As it were.
Ask the other person if they want to receive the pics, they say yes, you send them. That way they have requested the pics. You have confirmation of them giving you permission.
As long as it isn't illegal in itself, then it shouldn't be a problem.
There are laws about producing porn, sending it through the post, seling it on, etc, but that may be down to licencing.
A bit like dogging and shagging at parties and clubs.
Could you be done for indecent exposure?
Well somebody would have to complain to the police and they would have to charge you, etc.
You get cases where somebody was sunbathing in the garden and a neighbour complains to the police.
You get cases where somebody is sunbathing, the neighbour looks in at them and the sunbather reports the neighbour.
Strip naked on a normal beach or in a park and you may get reported and arrested.
Go to a nude beach - where signs say "you may see naked bathers" and try reporting the sunbathers to the police - you'll get nowhere - you had fair warning.
Same for pics - don't put yourself in the position where that may happen.
Rachel
wink
You have my permission to send me porn.
(well it saves me trolling the internet looking for it) lol
Just be careful then!! rolleyes
<<rant>>
Porn being one of the biggest businesses in the world, has to have something going for it. Even the top shelf mags earn someone money, as crap as they are.
What I hate are the condescending people who look at you as if you are a pervert when you might be entering or exiting an exotic shop somewhere. I bet that these people have at one time or another looked at a porn mag or movie on more than one occasion.
I think it is down to the Great British narrow mindedness when it comes to pornography in general, that makes one feel embarresed when looking in the window even.
Go to any European country and porn is out there in your face so to speak, so it's not a problem there.
We should be more open here about the whole situation.
<</rant over>>
In response the the rant I have to say the the British attitude to sexual matters is perverse!!
Last week I was in Berlin. There is a large chain of sex shops called Beate Ushe. These shops are not only located in the city centre (right in front of the main railway station Zoo) but also in neighbourhood stores. We went in redface We had a great time surprisedops: It wasn't sleazy or dirty but actually good to wander around the store looking, along with women, men, young (not TOO young you understand) and old.
Here it's furtive and fumbled and we hope that people don't see us!!
I whole hartedly agree with you.
It seems we are living in Victorian times, as opposed to the 20th centuary.
The goverment needs to wise up.

Not central government's fault - this time it's ALL down to local authorities who listen to the god-brigade and local shop owners. One lot think it's a sin and the other lot think it will attract 'undesireables'. It's planning departments and local councillors who keep the sex shops out.
Yes all narrow minded hypocritical beaurocrats.
Just what we don't need.
I understood that posting anything on the internet is beyond the law, and even if it isn't, how can it be enforced? there is no way that they can stop it, as it crosses continents and there is no global enforcement agency anyhow.
Pornography, is socialy acceptable in the world now, as was in the days of the Roman Empire and as time goes by it will become more so.
We get children who know everything about sex, shouting obscenities in the street
the old and the young having sexual intercourse.
Babies having babies, which was unheard of a few years ago,
in other words today anything goes and nobody cares.

My first time doing this - hey! I'm a virgin again. If I can get round all the complications.... : rotflmao
I understand that a request saves any problems with sending pics, but what if the recipient then sends it onwards, using your email id? Are there any techies out there who know if that can be done, or am I being paranoid? sad
It's my first time with emoticons, too.
I knew someone would bite biggrin :D :D :D
