I have just been thinking when does Photography become Pornography. Is it when a set area(s) of the body become visible, or set acts? Is it when someone becomes aroused by a picture?
At just what point does a holiday picture become, well WOW? Is page 3 Pornography?
To me, pornography stimulates me sexualy. And that is its main focus.
Photography, or art, stimulates me in many other ways. That's not to say art can not also stimulate sexualy, but that is not it's main drive.
Hi there, I personally am not sure that pornography relates directly to sex. I get turned on by as many clothed images of beautiful people as naked ones. Much of our attitude today is based on good old Victorian values, as we all know.

Pornography is something that is designed to titillate.
It doesn't mean it can't stimulate different areas of the brain though, it just rarely does.
Well pornography is sexually stimulating pictures or words.
Two things to bear in mind is what is portrayed and who the receiver is.
Photographing people naked is not pornography until the recipient does not like it.
What people can find arousing is variable right up to the absolutely bizarre and the members of this group will have some very varied ideas I am sure of what turns them on.
For some a naked body is all about sex, which as a naturist, I find disappointing and as a human being is dangerous to women and vulnerable people as showing anything could be deemed invitational.

You speak for yourself mate
 whilst watching sex ed tv programes (for extra tips) why is it they blur the intimate areas yet can show the actual point of cumming via internal camera, surely if a tv programe is on late at night aimed at 'education' rather than titilation it seems daft to me rolleyes
the classic quote is "I can't define it, but I know what it is when I see it" ....
Is pornography dictated by implication or by inference?
That is to say... does it become pornography when made, or when seen/read/heard?
If an artist takes a picture of a tree with a young bird on the branches, and imagines it to be symbolic of a phallus taking the virginity of a young girl. Is that obscene / pornographic because of the artists intent?
Or, if he just took a picture representing nature... and the viewer interpreted that image to be sexually symbolic, is it then pornographic?
Incidentally, the law interprets pornography and obscenity by inference / interpretation and not intent. It matters not what was intended, but how it is perceived... interesting. By that reckoning, should an innocent artist ever paint a picture that happens to be considered pornographic or obscene by enough people, then he is doomed.
I believe much the same happened with slave, witches and Jean D'Arc once...

Long long age when there was mystery, porn was a naked body. Slowly it has become less stimulating and is now just a naked body. Then again add a personalty, a person and that all changes.
In the gallery pictures are just pictures, no matter how graphic. On the other hand some picture in profiles, even where the subject in dressed can be interesting!
I still consider two people fucking porn, it just does nothing for me.
For any who think I am above glancing at the gallery, I am, it was for research.

I sniggered at that :laughabove:
T,mann i sort of agree with you. I find pictures a little ho hum. However to watch the 'live' show I find ho hum too. Unless....Mrs Lost is involved. Is that weird ?
I think sex is weird. It is the, one of the most natural things we do, but we hide it, lie about it, are ashamed of it. We condemn folk for having sex, ridicule people for not having sex. Boy is sex weird.
So I do not consider anything that goes on in someones head weird, it may be unappealing to me but nut weird. Pictures of W do carry with them something that others do not, many others do not. They are of W, the one I love, after all. Sorry for using the four letter word.
