Posting photos, a plea to the techies

Hi everyone, can any of the techies here tell me how I can post a photo with my ad, as all the photos I Have are over 50kb?

If your pic is less than 200k you can resize it online at otherwise try PicSizer from it's free smile

it took me all day to find out how to reduce my pictures for uploading onto this site. when i'd actualy reduced them. i went for a brew. a few hours later i tried another batch.
what a bummer, i'd gone through so many perutations that i'd fprgot the winning system.
paint shop . seems to work.
start>run>acc>paint>reduce>hor/vert> to the size required.
think i'll now have a (home) brew

I know this is not exactly the same problem but .............
How do you attach a pic to your posts ?????
I have tried and tried banghead

and still not come up with the winning formula :doh:
Sorry to be a dimmo blink

but it is Sunday morning yawwwwwwn :sleeping:

just type and either side of the url to the pic u wish to display , so for example to display your pic i would type the following

it will then show the piccy below (plz dont leave any spaces between the brackets.

to get the URL of the piccy u want right click on the pic and select properties , copy and paste the URL.
N.B.
Many sites wont allow 'hotlinking' so u may have to download the pic to your pc first then upload it to a free web host.

Following on from what Cops has said - tripod (lycos) do free web hosting - I used it when I was aka as Emma Peel a while back.

The only thing to be aware of when linking to avatars though, is that if they person changes the avatar, a little while after the change the link will be lost.

I wanted to put that one in the thread that Mark started a while ago about Sex and Menstruation but didn't know how to do it then. I've just gone back and done it now. I did it as an "edit" so as not to resurrect an old post. Happy to give you a giggle.
