Apparently .....according to easy I am a nightmare before any munch because it starts with....
OH my god what am I going to wear? rolleyes

then on the night it's
Do I look ok in this? no really do I look ok ?....
after he has yes for the 100th time banghead

apart from the things that are always in my munch bag and a present i promised someone i havent decided what i am wearing as yet, i have a vague idea but still not entirely sure.

so building up the courage to put my name down for my first munch..and jost wondered what do other single people do on the night?? confused

do you just go along alone, or try and go with someone else?? smile

if you are really nervous hun there can normally be hand holders arranged who meet you and introduce you to others so you arent alone.
be brave, it seems really daunting i went on my own to my first, when you have been there 15 mins you will wonder what all the nerves and fuss was about.

definately hun, its well worth it, and you will enjoy it believe me, i spent the whole day bricking it for my first social especially as i drove for 2 hrs to get there and was staying in a hotel by myself, something i had never done before especially as a single female.

I never intended to go to a social/munch or actually get involved in the forum to be honest...... but I have/ did and I am so glad I plucked up the courage as Ive met some lovely people who in the majority respect that Im a *non scene* member.
I had been a member here nearly three years before I went to my first munch and was so nervous. I chose one that was in my home city and I stood outside for over an hour pacing up and down, nearly went home a number of times.
Once my hand holder found me, took me insde and introduced me to everyone I was fine. I felt a *little* uncomfortable at times, as I felt I was intruding on a lifestyle I wasnt a part of. That was me and my feelings though, not how anyone made me feel.
I have to say I love them, look forward to seeing friends Ive made and meeting new ones. An I can let my hair down and have a laugh, something I havent done for many, many years......

Mrs Cuk and I are both nervous about the upcoming NW munch … it’s a little bit of first time nerves and we wouldn’t be human if there wasn’t a little excitement, nervousness or whatever you might call it. We know one or two people thanks to sug’s party (another first and I was completely sober!) … although we did spend most of the time in the bedroom rather than socialising so I might be more familiar with arses than faces lol

… any kind words or hand-holders left after such a long thread? smile

Munches/Socials are like going to some long lost relatives wedding or birthday party. I still get pre-munch nerves though and generally pack a bag which contains half of my wardrobe every time. You'd think I could make up my mind what to wear before I go but I never do rolleyes

No matter how many I go to I still get those nerves, but it does get easier to walk through that door every time
