Looked for DU11 ARD,no price given, but I'd have to buy a new car to put it on!
For all those thinking of private plates, this works well;
1M SAD
It was much easier to change my name to D14 MKL
D
I was once overtaken on the M25 on the kent side of the Dartford bridge by PEN 1S
I must admit I think personalised number plates are riduclous. They either announce to the world who you are (so much for valuing privacy) or have no meaning to anyone else and therefore simply look stupid. Even worse are when people get a normal one and rearrange it to look different - that's really sad. They rank (for me) at the same level as oversized medallions and having "Sharon" and "Terry" on that blue strip above the windscreen.
If I had one I suppose it wuld be FXY 1. You see how silly that would look to anyone who didn't know me?
The only private plate I ever coveted was W0N 1T .... the owner used to live nearby
I was very lucky with mine. My initials are DJPP. Bought a 1982 Vauxhall Astra estate with the number DPP 9Y on it at no extra cost as the age was still relative to the car.
Not exact but near enough. Its been on two cars since.

Missed out on the chance to buy BOL10X when i was younger
8 DSM although such fripperies dont really feature on my list of must haves or even like to haves.
Back in the old days before the number plate crack down it was perfectly possible to bung any number plate you wished on your car with little chance of capture. I heard tell that a footballer had "Les 1" for quite some time on such a basis and was happy to pay the fine when he was apprehended.
If you drive East along the North bank of the Embankment (River Thames)from Chelsea towards Vauxhall you will see 2 posh cars on a rather posh driveway (on the left hand side ;o)
The number plates are...
"2B"...
and
"NOT 2B"
Parked next to each other, normally.
From my perspective that is class!
....no idea how much they are worth ;o)
Most personalised plates evolve from Northern Ireland
I wanted to buy Alex a joke one so asked could I put 5LUT on her car?
She knocked the feck out of me and then said she would put KN08 HED on mine :silly:

I'd like PAN 1C for my plate, last time it sold it was over 5K so it will only happen with a big lottery win.
