Problems accessing this site on a Mac?

Hi all,
I have sent an email or two to support but without any luck.
Does anyone else have problems accessing this site from Apple Macs?
I can access it OK at work (not the best thing to be doing!) but not at home (nightmare!)
Any pointers would help and it may be best to send me an email - which I think is in my profile.

My husband uses a mac and he never has any problems smile

Hi.. thanks for the responses.
Work Mac is Tiger 10.4.1 and it works fine. In fact it works under 10.2.8 at work too.
At home 10.3.8 doesn't work.. it just hangs and then says connection time out.. or something like that.
Puzzling as it used to work I am sure.

Mine works OK on OS10.3.9 using Safari (so goody) - only problem I get is sometimes I can't see all of the avatars, so I have to wait to get to work before I can see Vix new av. silly

I'm only on 10.2.8 and have no issues (Power book G4),
I think his G4 is same as mine. No probs there.
His Power Mac Dual G5 is on 10.3.9
I see no diff in how these rum SH other than how it runs on any of ourr PC's (well, bar the odd tweak or so).
I am still confused, what is the prob, mate?

Firstly... how great to see so many fellow Mac users!
The problem is that at home, on both my laptop and and desktop Macs, I can no longer access this site apart from the Photo Ads section which, I believe, is because it runs from http://photos.swingingheaven.co.uk rather than www.swingingheaven.co.uk.
Both Macs will hang for a minute or so and the browser will return a connection time out error. There is something to do with my configuration at home that has changed and prevents me from enjoying all your chatting - even though I don't contribute myself nowadays.
I am hoping that the webmaster will see this thread and drop me an email. The difficulty is I can't check my config at home and then post what is wrong - as I can't see the site at home!

well yeah, you're right about the ads being on a different server, so that explains that one. as for the webmaster ((( a.k.a. mark ))) reading this, well i doubt he'd be put out if you pm'ed him directly and asked him. he's quite good like that. whether you get a useful answer is another matter. look at this bollox he sent one of my recent cries for help . . . .

Thanks for the conbributions.. and for the busy webmaster himself to reply too.
I am sure it is ISP related (NTL) at home. Not really an option to bring in either Macs and I am not sure how to approach NTL and say why I can't access my favourite site when I want some solo fun reading the stories redface

It is a bit of deadend for me really since I cannot access the site to use the pingy thingy at home. Ho Hum... will just have to read the stories and other postings without getting too sexually excited at work.
Should a fix materialise please let me know!

Well, that technical thread linked to above also related to NTL (I think), and a fix was found... have you read it through? perhaps westerross or someone could send you a little PM with the fix? I'll ask him

Just read the entire thread and you could probably hear the whoosh as it all went over my head! However, I have copied a few of the more useful suggestions and sent them as an email to myself.
The SH site is the only one I have any problems with - including all the superb mature porn sites I trawl daily!
