just a quick question about profiles.
why is it, when ya write your profile, you have various topics , paragraphs and spaces, when you click to update it, it looks nicely done, all centralised and paragraphed with spare lines, but when you go to view profile, Its just one long paragraph, spaces and empty lines all gone etc. :-(

Not sure Jaq, but I'll be interested in the answer cos this drives me barmy reading profiles like this! Ours has been like this for a few months now.....let's see what the admin peeps say

I think that if you write your profile in Word or something similar and you paste it onto your profile it appears without any of the neat spacing etc.
However if you now go into your profile and edit what is already there, i.e. ad your paragraph spacings etc, when you save it they changes should remain. I siad should.

Hmmmm strange. I had trouble when I did my profile, but found that after editing it and saving it all my cnahges remained.
They only thing I can suggest is submitting a support ticket to Admin.

Well spotted, it should work ok now, but you will have to re-do your profile text for the cahnges to take place.

Yep I tried that too and it just reverts to once mess of words. It shows as paragraphed OK in my profile on right hand menu and is also ok when I go into edit my profile but if I view my profile fopr example my clicking on my name when I am browsing the Forum it is all in one long blurb. It's not juts Jaq and me, I've seen loads of other profiles like it too.

hwoar: I mean look at your profile and it does the same as mine. I originally set it up in 4 paragraphs to make it easier to read, but all the spaces have been taken out. There are a few glitches in the system tonight.
I'd suggest you left it until tomorrow and then try to edit it rather than doing it now and coming out with yet more problems than those you started with.
Have you noticed that everytime there is an apostrophe the system enters a slash too? It's a gremlin type thing that needs sorting, so I wouldn't worry too much about your profile.
Hope that was of some help, even though it's really a rather rambling reply.
