Profiles Validations,

Just a quicky,
we notice that on virtually every other "swing" "contact" site members have the optitions of validating the people on they have met by saying so on their profiles.
Which we think is a good idea if you have actually met the person in question.
is there someway we can validate those we have met on this site?
and of course it works the other way round for people to validate us.

It's been discussed many times before on here and decided that it's a system way too open to abuse.

I thnk lots of people will tell you that this has oft been debated... and the clever techy ones wll be able to direct you to the links (I'm not clever enough for that!!)
But personally, whilst I am on this site ostensibly to meet people, I like to be discreet about my meets and wouldn't want some kind of public rating system.
Just my opinion though.

oh dear didnt want to start the fuse lol.
thou i cant see how its open to abuse thou.
only if was in the public areas and not under the control of those who either accept or dont accept the validation.
after all if someone did "V" a persons profile then that person would be the only one to either have it shown or not.
will have to do a search and catch up im sure many questions have been repeated and answered many times lol

Yeah... but then in that case if I got a negative 'review' and chose not to post it, then people would be none the wiser would they? So it'd just be like boasting, posting all your best ones... or am I misunderstanding what you meant?

Which would, of course, render the whole thing completely useless - and hey ho, it's been abused already. Abused as in, not used in the way intended.

yes, absolutely. you can post a thread on this forum telling us how lovely they are, or alternatively, you could go to a munch or a social, and tell everyone . . . yadda yadda ya . . . maybe, you could tell a moderator how lovely they are, in the hope that a moderator would then agree that yes, indeed, they are very, very lovely?
thing is, why do you think anyone else would be bothered just cos you think someone's very, very lovely? lol

i would put no store by it whatsoever, cos we have our own way of validating people, but i would find your complete lack of discretion somewhat disturbing, and i would probably discount both you, and your friends, from any future potential list of possible playmates for that very reason, cos we, and the people we meet, and the things we do, are not for public consumption thanks. except on our own terms. certainly not to make it easy for people we don't know to make ill-informed opinions about us? confused

there's an easy way to validate possible playmates, and that is to meet them in real life first. it really is that simple! ;)

On one site, you didnt get the magic "verification symbol" until you reached a certain number of ratings.
So at the social events organised, people were trying to buy verifications for the cost of a drink. Walking round begging and pleading for ratings, without a care who was being asked.
Abuse ? I think so.
