Before my dear wife came into my life I never made public displays of affection. My wife would, still does, suddenly turn to me on the street and kiss me long and deeply.
It took me a long time to get use to this. On the other hand I have never been slow getting my clothes off, at the right time, on the beach or changing room or Japaneses bath. On the few occasions I have indulged in sex with more than one person, well enough said.
My wife has always been reluctant to show her body in public.
So here I am uncomfortable with public displays, yet only to happy to fuck in a room full of like minded people. Yet my wife will kiss and fondle me in the street, but hardly ever goes topless or nude on the beech. While she has fuck partners, has said that group sex is never going to happen.
So any observations? Any comments?
Oh and no this is not me asking how to get her to a club.

this is about confidence and you have stated that you have gotten used to this sort of public attention perhaps she will be the same ... in time it may be that she gets more comfortable with her own body esp when there are so many different sizes of bodies out there. just keep piling on the praises and the confidence should follow

Hiya Travis. The bit I've put in bold, I believe is cos they are like-minded people. When out in public, there's people with all kinds of backgrounds and bringings up, and u don't know if showing affection to the person u love will cause them offense (although I don't think it should)

So you must be right.

I'll try to explain:
For example, at a train station or airport I think it's cool seeing a couple who have been apart having a big romantic snog or when you see families saying goodbyes and everyone is getting a bit teary. That sort of stuff is okay.
What is not okay (in my little head) is unnecessary displays of public affection... for example couples who cannot keep their hands off each other or those who kiss over-enthusiastically. (I was sat on a bus yesterday behind a couple and he was tonguing her ear so sloppily I was nearly sick. Eeeugh!)
Erm... I guess what I'm saying is spontaneous gestures of romance and/or lust are cool if done 'right' but over-the-top stuff is a bit nausea-inducing.

I agree with Noladreams on the over the board slobbering of ears, yuk!.. lol.. however i just adore holding hands, a kiss on the cheek, a hand stroking my back or an arm over my shoulder or round my waist when out and about. It makes me go weak at the knees, makes me feel appreciated and ... happy.

I totally agree, public displays of affection do so much for a womans confidence, a kiss or holding hands shows that someone isnt afraid of being seen with you in that way and that they are proud of you. I love that.
I also agree with Nola though, you have to watch you dont overstep the mark in some situations, no-one likes to see people slobbering all over each other in the street!
