I'm eligible to upgrade my handset and am planning to upgrade to the S3. Most places seem to only be offering the 16G version but Voda have both 16G and 32G versions available, tariff is pretty much comparable to Tesco.
My question is - I know that if it were ram we were talking about then more is better but as that is not the case, what are reasons for going for the 32G handset instead of the 16G handset given that memory for both can be expanded considerably via a micoSD card but saves you significant upfront money in terms of what they ask for the handset?
A lot of apps don't work properly when saved on external memory. My HTC Desire doesn't have a lot of internal, so despite having an 8GB SD card the only real use I have for the extra space is for media. If you use a lot of apps then more internal is better.
With vodafone, before you sign up to any offer they have, talk to a customer sales rep over the phone and don't accept the first offer. You will always get a better offer from someone on the end of the phone who's on commission than you will in a shop or online, and Vodafone always come through cheaper like this.
Whats the price difference between the two??
16GB should be more than enough for your apps, if the cost of a 16GB micro SD is cheaper I would definately go that route. Transfering to internal memory can sometimes be faster than to a card but is not a huge issue.

Definatley agree
Asking customer service for a PAC code usually results in customer retention calling you, they have access to deals even the sales people cant give you.
I always use prior to selecting a new phone.
Also be mindful that most new smartphones offer 16g or 32g but no expandable memory option like the HTC One series but do however throw in 25g cloud free instead.

You'll wish you hadn't if you have an accident on your own some time! what's wrong with having a phone to hand?

It's not the ability to phone others that's the problem but their opportunity to phone you .... I hate phones almost as much as many of the people on the other end of them
You can turn off incoming calls as and when you want to on pretty much all phones, or just turn it off.

But then how will you check the SH forum and post on a thread about the use of smartphones while in the queue at tescos!!
